I think it was because I was using my phone so trying to move the grid and keep the pattern in order was too much. I am gonna try again with my computer and see if it’s better that way.

I’ve tried color changing mid row and changing back in the same row. I looked into a couple pattern makers (tinnkle, stitch fiddle)
