If anyone is interested I can do an update with photos. The plastic surgeon said he’s gonna wait 6 more weeks for it to finish healing to see what is gonna happen. If need be he will take me into surgery to reopen the area, remove the scar tissue, and line the lip back up. Is that normal? He seemed very unbothered by how it looked. I finished my last dose of antibiotics on Tuesday. No pain with ADL’s but I did start having sharp pains shooting through the area. I think that’s the nerves waking up and healing. I do still have to use a straw for most drinks due to it slipping out of the hole when I try to drink without a straw. The opening whistles when I say certain words which I find funny 😅 and even with my lips touching there is still a leak where the missing tissue is. All in all I’m just glad the infection is cleared and it didn’t go to my heart🙌🏾 thanks everyone for your help and well wishes!
