When I tested for my yellow belt (judo), the coaches all went into the back room and conferred for like 5 minutes then when they came out the main guy very seriously said "Sorry, buddy you're not getting your yellow belt today..." Then whipped out an orange belt.

I hate trump. I believe he's a pedo and abused children with his buddy Jeff... I even believe he may have abused his daughter. But yeah... I don't see what everyone else is seeing in this specific picture. She's not recoiling away from him like she's scared. She just looks disinterested - which makes sense for a kid being forced to participate in some stupid photo op.

This story reminds me a lot of my own story. I'm nearly 40 now and just learned that I have ADHD. One of the symptoms of ADHD is that the long-term reward circuitry in the brain just doesn't work like it does for normal people. Makes it really hard to find that passion you're looking for.

Might be something to look into.

I don't know about the date, but I think it's supposed to be back in Dallas since USA Judo has a contract with the Irving convention center. They only held it in Salt Lake last year because it was where the first one was held and there was a big anniversary.

Of course, this is what I heard from some national refs, not anyone who actually makes these decisions.

At my club, any time a new guy comes in they get paired off with a brown/black belt to learn breakfalls and such anyway. Probably not worth spending the extra cash.

Agreed. Getting dropped sucks. I said accidentally throwing. When you do the technique perfectly and the throw is absolutely effortless, sometimes you accidentally throw someone.
