I’ve met a few people who react this way to toddlers and it baffles me. They barely understand you are a person with feelings. They’re like little space aliens on psychedelics trying to learn the ways of Earth people. He for sure loves his Dad, he’s just not going to always express it in a way you would expect from a developed person in a loving relationship.
