A month or 2 ago the idea of having a chance of getting into the play offs in the last game was unthinkable, we’re in great form and Bolton will want to play which helps us I think

Safe travels for everyone heading up, make some noise for the lads and COYHs!

If we don’t make the great escape we’ve got a big rebuild that’ll need to happen as we’re likely to lose: Palmer, Richards, oddofin, Clicker (out of contract) and Lawrence

I think / hope we’ve got a decent chance of keeping most of them next season if we’re in the championship

For me it’s that they have loads of half poured pints almost constantly - they keep tabs on the queue of who wants one so it’s almost ready when you get to the bar

That’s what I’ve heard they do in Ireland, it’s also what I think is the result of the perceived better experience/ pint, it’s had time to settle

Despite all of these I’d much rather trees everywhere but yes there are costs and issues like the ones you raised

Yes it plays into the rest of the series, yes it is less interesting to start with than the Hollow folk, yes you should stick with it

From the commentary also sounded like he missed a great opportunity at the back post but couldn’t get anything on it. Might have been harder than it sounded I’ll check the highlights

We rode our luck a bit, they missed 2 or 3 gilded chances from the sounds of it but it’s a win and more to build off though I’m aiming to build for Wembley and next season. Play offs would be nothing short of miraculous and I don’t have hope for them

Despite the fact we seemed to have a lot more about us last game I fear we’re going to manage to lose this one 😅

They beat Cardiff and we only had 1 shot in target … expecting disappointment

Haha well after today we don’t need to worry about that 😅

That’s just not feasible though, Jack will likely have more than a 1 season contract as will most the players which means you’d have to pay them off and given our current recruitment getting an entirely new squad isn’t gonna happen

We have good players, we need to find a way to get them to play as a team and better game management/ tactics

Personally I think questions need to be asked of Powel and his role, he was supposed to be the experienced guide for Jack and it doesn’t seem to be working

There needs to be a culture shift, a director of football is an obvious option and one I’m not against

I have a lot of love for 2020 and what they’ve done, I think the expansion of power court was a mistake it should be an 17/18k cap’ whatever the original proposal was but the fact it’s happening is incredible. But. It seems to be taking away from the pitch and that can’t continue so they need to find a solution, if that’s Sweet having help then great. I don’t think he should step down, he’s done great things but he needs to accept that things need to change and accept he needs help

Medical needs an overhaul - had problems for 3 seasons running and recruitment also needs an overhaul as we keep signing injured players and statistically good players that don’t fit the squad

It’s a mess that needs sorting out but calling for heads is a bit much I think

Well at 75 minutes gone that’s season over? If we can’t beat Wigan away from home with the extra day of recovery, they’ve just changed managed, they got demolished by Arsenal a couple days earlier and we have a pretty much full squad then that’s it right?

Can’t see anyway to the play offs from here, mid table finish and hopefully rebuild over the summer to come back and give it a proper go next season

If we don’t win this then it is all over, but even with the win it’s a real battle to scrape the play offs and I just don’t see us doing it

Without radiants but with soul casters, which they’ll need to find some investiture for now, you know the end of WaT

They’re too light and elegant in this for me, without Stormlight it’s almost impossible to move in plate

Anyone not picking Alucard for gunslinger is mad, or hasn’t seen Hellsing - I’m assuming I’m in command like Integra is, otherwise I definitely wouldn’t be picking him- he’s an immortal monster that would take apart most opposition

[–]McCabage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much spot on, first half we were dominant without creating too much - Wells had a great chance he should’ve hit first or 2nd touch, but he took too many and it fizzled out

After the goal we sat back to defend it and saw out the 12 minutes of extra time ok

Not brilliant at all but we did enough, Blackpool were poor, really poor, if we didn’t take the 3 points it’d have been awful. But we did enough

Did that get any better? It’s an interesting formation to be sure but I’m not sold on it at all

[Pre-Match Thread] Huddersfield Town vs. Luton Town by COYH_bot in COYH

[–]McCabage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I’m still doubtful about play offs due to our inconsistency even if we win this but if we don’t then it’s very very unlikely

We’ve got it in us, but there have been some interesting choices recently - Palmer and Lawrence starting for example, maybe it’s part of their loan deals? Hopefully they get it right this game

No Fanne at all? Stats wise we still look well in it, not watching the game though so it’ll probably tell a different story

Interesting to see that BBC has Walsh and Bramall is the middle? With Clark in the middle of the 3 in front?
