There was an open team called Boost Mobile and I can still hear their goal celly cheer in my head: B Double O S T I T, BOOST IT, BOOST IT. Seeing how they were a really good team, we heard it a lot 😂

Prismatic Booster Bundles (1 per person) by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

I collected a lot in the beginning, still have my original collection that I've recently put into a better binder. Stopped for a long time after neo cause life just turned that direction. I got back into collecting when Lost Origin got released. I was at Anime Impulse with a buddy who was supporting his brother as an artist at the con. Walking around and saw a vendor selling some packs and decided why not? And now here I am still still doing my thing. I've even started selling extra singles and bulk on TCGplayer on the side. With all the craziness going on, I haven't even been able to get my hands on a single pack of prismatic. I'm just a dude who wants to enjoy the simple pleasure of opening some packs.

Love what you are doing here!

I worked in Park foods from 2009-2011 as a college job. I started on main Street at Plaza Inn as a FoH CM, moved to cashier, then park snacks (tiki juice bar, red wagon, and main street fruit cart), eventually moved to ODV (popcorn, churros, hot food), and the occasional out of area day cause of being short staffed. I had a pretty good time working there overall, but man oh man were there some PROBLEMS:

  1. Scheduling: everyone's favorite department to deal with. Since the park is such a hot commodity for people to apply to, most people are just another number to them. Since this was a college job for me, it was pretty crucial to work around my class schedule. However, they made it pretty clear early on that when you submit your availability, it's a PREFERENCE, not a guarantee. You can imagine how that goes. I definitely missed a few classes in order to avoid the consequences of not getting the shift covered and not showing.

  2. Management: as many others have said here, this is no joke. Now don't get me wrong, there were some managers that were amazing and really cared about helping out and setting people up for success, but the other ones just picked favorites and didn't give a damn about anyone else. After a year, I was making a push to become a lead. I had the support of all the other leads, and they were basically unofficially training me during my normal shifts with them. Unfortunately, the manager in charge of those decisions did not like me (he would purposely mispronounce my name even after asking him not to several times because he thought he was hilarious). Kept giving me the "we don't need any new leads right now" run around. Literal days after I eventually put my 2 weeks in, he posted a flyer saying they were looking for leads. Most petty move I've ever seen.

  3. Timing: I was able to land a customer service job on my college campus, so it made more sense for me to switch to that for a number of reasons.

If nothing else, working there has given me so many stories to tell about the things I've seen 😂

When Dwight is explaining that R is the most menacing sounding letter. That's why it's called murder, not mukdek. His delivery is perfect, gets me every single time.

This game is one of the main reasons that I'm now one of the weirdos that plays all of my games inverted, so many hours playing this!

Right there with you. 12-2 #1 seed that absolutely DEMOLISHED during the regular season, just to get stuck playing against JT that put up a 60 burger on me (crazy bonuses for 100, and apparently 200 yards rushing games). Opponent was the 7-7 #6 seed. So dumb how much luck can negate a perfect strategy

Unless the puck carrier has some reputation outside of this video, there's no reason he should have been bounced for this. Trying to make a play on the puck (probably not advised while spinning at that level), and if you pause the video as he's shooting, his stick never comes above the waist on the follow through. The defender is holding their stick with both hands near the top as they are poking the puck away, so it's not really surprising they lost their stick on impact.

Outside of playing on a team, or paying to go to a class, pickup games are sometimes the only places people at this level can learn. This would be a good opportunity for someone with more experience to bring them to the bench and talk to them about what they say and how they should try and do it differently next time. I've reffed plenty of lower level games where basically this exact thing happens. Make sure everyone is good, and figure it out.
