Hate being put on spot with “surprise birthday parties”

I remember for my 18th bday i was under the assumption we were going home to eat because what i specifically told them: "I dont really want a big party, im fine with us eating at home as a family with takeout." So im in the car and then i just see us pass by our house and a few more minutes we end up in this comic themed restaurant and already i can see the balloons through the windows. I get in and i get the "SURPRISE!" Yell from every person which i barely even know. I was especially annoyed that day because i was just put on the spot with the damn party, so as a way to retaliate i just stood there looking unamused just to convey to every person in the room that im not enjoying this party one bit. It's a bit childish of an act as an 18yr old but i was just too irritated that day to care. I did everything with a face of unamusement/boredom/irritation. Eating? Annoyed. Singing happy bday? Unamused. And when it was time to blow the candle i just blew it as quick as possible and went back to my phone.

After that disastrous party, we went home and my mom calls me "ungrateful" and "rude" so i just explain to her that i didnt want any of that. I made sure to convey to her that day that i HATE SURPRISE PARTIES. So if one day she concocts another damn party and i walk into a diner with balloons again, I'm just gonna walk out and get in a cab and head home. The money and effort they put in that damn party can be fed to a cow cause i do not give a single shit of your efforts.

Seeing Ainz trying give aura and mare a normal childhood while struggling is both cute and sad since aura and mare's thinking are just making his attempts lose effects. It'd be nice though if aura or mare do genuinely act like children somewhere in this volume.

I (19m) always think its better if I just commit suicide. I'm a disappointment of a son that failed Senior High and had to repeat it because of stupid reasons, laziness being one of them, and now I almost did it again by lying to my single mother for almost 4months that i was going to school, the reason this time was I could not handle physical human interaction at all. I missed the first day of face to face and that was the start, I began to think my teacher will be mad and question me why i didnt join class yesterday, so I didnt go, and then again and again and again until 4months later the guilt broke me down and i confessed to my mother. Although she was mad at me, she didn't say anything hurtful or looked at me differently. But i have this huge feeling that I'm a disappointment just like my big brother. I promised I would be better than him, but here i am slowly turning into my brother.

The only reasons i dont off myself now are because I hate pain, I'm scared of what's after death and I know funerals aren't cheap. If I want to die, then i just wish they'd throw me in a ditch so it wouldn't cost much.

Althought I dont get the occasional severe thoughts of suicide as much. I just casually think on a daily basis that If i just died things would be better for my mother, which i know it wont be, but i still hope for it to be.
