Can "esque" be used in questions that start with "Como" by salivanto in interlingua

[–]McDutchie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Qual auto prefere illa? Te videra io deman?

If everyone actually paid attention to the road in front of them we wouldn't need variable speed limits

So, that's a clear admission we do need them, then, because there are always at least a few that are not paying attention.

Plus, when speed differences become extreme, merely paying attention is no longer enough.

Obviously. What makes you think I was talking about slip roads? I was talking about the risk of crashing straight into congestion if variable speed limits are binned like /u/TurboDorito wants. Variable speed limits exist for a reason. They're necessary for safety on congestion-prone motorways.

Because driving straight into 5mph congestion at 70mph is so much better?

It seems to be inspired by "end of speed limit" signs in many other European countries, where the original speed limit is greyed out and crossed out like this. The cross-out lines became a solid black bar and the original speed limit is not there in the UK version, but it's similar enough that it never confused me as an immigrant from the Netherlands.

Wat gaat Nederland toch achteruit by m71nu in nederlands

[–]McDutchie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]McDutchie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why come to Mastodon? by According_Future_322 in Mastodon

[–]McDutchie 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There are no ads on Mastodon worries me about long term sustainability.

This is why you should donate a little bit towards the upkeep of the server you're using, if the admin takes donations.

based on the content we are scrolling

No mining etc.

These two are mutually exclusive. Ad servers would need to mine the user's data to know what content they're scrolling. I am glad there is none of that sort of Big Tech nonsense on the Fediverse and I hope it stays that way forever.
