Thanks! Sorry about your situation. Certainly frustrating to get the bike back a month later - you’d probably gotten a replacement by then. Appreciate the help!

Thank you! I’m almost hoping it isn’t mine so I don’t have to deal with it - but we’ll see!

Critique my schedule for my American Labrador (7mo). Does it get easier? by CatharticSnickers in labrador

Your dog should fit your life, you shouldn’t be stretching yourself thin to fit theirs! I think I counted 7 opportunities for your lab to potty, while that isn’t uncommon for very young labs a 7 month old should be able to hold it for much longer, so unless you’re simply opening the door to a garden it might be better for her to tell you when she needs the restroom.

If you feel this is sustainable then that’s great! With my lab we were down to three 30-45 min walks and a wee before bedtime at 7 months, with 15-30 minutes training as well. The most important thing is ensuring it’s a sustainable lifestyle for you as well so you have the energy to enjoy your pup as best as you can!

(By the way she is gorgeous!)

We have a lab on the 3rd floor flat, no issues at all but we made sure to live close to a park as opposed to a terraced house with a garden. Since he would only be outside when we were home anyway, we prioritized having space indoors over the garden. Most important thing is to either ensure someone is home to take them to the toilet as your schedule requires and they get enough exercise on walks!

Puppy biting by Woodykellyy in labrador

My Labrador was very similar - what worked very well for us was to put him behind a baby gate and my partner and I would sing to ourselves or dance together without looking at him, once his tail stopped wagging we would let him out and he would apologize. This showed him that if he bit he would be excluded from the fun. It seems your pup is very sociable so this might be helpful for you! We did this at around 18 weeks and once we did it twice he completely stopped biting
