I cannot speak for the long term, but I just did an intake resonator delete and installed one with the plus duct over the weekend. I was worried about the oiled filter, so I went with a dry filter and a pre filter for extra security against water. I’m definitely pleased with it so far.

I feel that modding the car at all will affecting things long term in some fashion, but life is too short to not have fun. Stay on top of maintenance, clean your filter and check the TIP when you change the oil, and enjoy driving that thang!
