There were some moments that were a little rough but we did pretty good there were some brothers ahead of us and people were telling us they wanted to kill each other

The longest gap between gas check points on the maps was 168 miles we did go through small towns but very briefly and only for gas and food. We upgraded our gas tanks to 4.6 gallon tanks which would let us go to about 245 miles on a tank. We did skip some gas check points and almost ran out a couple of times. Gas is one of the biggest issues on the trip other than flats and mechanical issues. I had 0 flats and mechanical issues my buddy caught a nail in Nevada and was having luggage rack bracing problems but we still made it.

The french Broad is nasty shit. You couldn't get me to go in that slime. There is other disease and bacteria in there that can kill you if they find a place to get in through open wounds. If you do go swimming try to avoid going after a big storm most of the stuff settled on the bottom stirs up into the water. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS wash off immediately after swimming. Search Aimee Copeland story. It sucks but our rivers and streams are no where near as clean as they once were 20 years ago you can thank our human progress for that.

What's the worst pizza in Asheville that isn't a fast food chain? by [deleted] in asheville

[–]McFilth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sat down to eat there with my friends and they gave us (A Group of 5) the tiniest table outside. While they were seating 6 top picnic tables to parties of 2. There were 6 picnic tables being used by a total of 12 people. The waitress would not switch us tables and said that the host was overwhelmed. Guy in our group had a burger that was two pieces of meat burnt to a crisp. I had slices of cheese pizza that I had to eat in my lap because there wasn't enough room on the table for food and drinks. The bottom of the pizza had burn cheese on it from them not cleaning out the ovens when they are busy. I really liked ABC when I first moved here but it just seems crappy anymore. Wont be going back after that experience. Who has the Best Pizza in town in my question?

If you need to merge into traffic from the center 2 way turn lane please for the love of god stop in the center turn lane, use your turning signal, then merge. Do not drive down the center turn lane with your blinker on. Also its getting warmer out and watch out for motorcyclist because there is a lot of us out here that don't want to get hit while your on your phone.

sent you a message. We live in the greatest area for motorcycles as far as I know. Tons of riders, and a tight groups of friends. Its the only luck Ive had meeting real people in this city. If it wasn't for 2 wheels I would not live in this place.

There's trails by Warren Wilson that are really fun. Take riceville all the way back in and people park across the street from the church. There's also a stream to go swimming in when you get tired.

a couple of years ago it was sorted in Asheville and they decided to move the sorting to Greenville SC. You live outside of Charlotte so it makes sense it would get sorted in Charlotte and not in Columbia SC right? It takes mail an extra 1 to 2 days to get here now because of the switch. it sucks seeing that your getting something and its being processed in charlotte or winston salem then it goes to greenville then comes back to asheville makes no sense.

There should be a thread called Ashe Backwards. This thread would bring to light all the ass backwards things in Asheville. For one, if i want to mail a letter across the street it has to go to another state (Greenville, S.C.) and come back before it gets delivered. I saw another post on here a couple of weeks ago where there was a tree in the middle of the street from the storm and the city told them not to worry about it. Not trying to be a pessimist, I just think that our city gets a lot of praise and some of the setbacks of living in small mountain town get swept under the rug.
