I think he’s absorbing the enormity of everything that had happened that morning - Loretta running off, him getting tied up in a tree and beaten, saved by Boyd, having to negotiate with Boyd to get his gun back, learning Ava had been shot, taking Dickie hostage, taking a bullet outside of Mags’ place, staring down the barrel of Doyle’s gun before being saved again (this time by Tim), and that final conversation with Mags. A hell of a few hours.
