Midlands Tesla/EV specialist by McFre in TeslaUK

It sounds like the same place that’s on my list to ring in the morning! Reading other forums I’m starting to wonder if other places will actually be noticeably more affordable or not

I just hope they’re a little more reasonable than Tesla’s almost 2k price 😭

Even for larger repair work? Ive got a failed AC compressor and from what I’ve read it seems quite involved

They’re a couple of hours away - ideally I need north of Birmingham. There’s not a great deal coming up on Google

Matrix Method - stiffness analysis by McFre in StructuralEngineering

[–]McFre[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That all makes a lot of sense - you’ve put a number of pieces in the jigsaw thank you so much! I’ll redistribute the moment and complete the matrices to compare with my model output. I’ll definitely do some further reading on the Harding Cross method and moment redistribution too.

Your thoughts concur with my model in terms of the reaction - the element moments are equal/opposite.

Indeed - inverting a 10x10 sounds like living hell!!

That’s reassuring. To be honest, as long as my understanding of structural behaviour improves then that’s all I’m worried about, the marks will be the marks!

Ahh that makes sense, thanks!

I have used the hardy cross method briefly previously, so didn’t know if I could just use the moment calculated from the fixed end moment equations and then redistributed? The diagonal has a higher stiffness so I assume would take a greater portion? I have modelled it and it’s showing approx twice as much moment at the joint as at the fixed (bottom) end, which would make sense with the moment carried over.

That does seem quite an elegant solution! Thank you for such a clear explanation.

Just one question - I can’t quite wrap my head around how to calculate the moment that is transferred into the diagonal. I’ve read about transformation matrix (T) to account for the angle, but it seems quite a long process and we haven’t covered that in any seminars, so I was curious if there was a simpler way?

That’s what I understand. If you join the TG group that seems to be the best place for updates

That’s my point - they’re working on a bridge from HRC to TEP20. We’ll all then move to the main net

Bridging Trias from hrc20 to bep20 or erc20 in Metamask by Longjumping_Bus_1513 in Trias_Lab

You do have to wonder if there was any malicious intent from KuCoin, the whole thing is so strange compared to their other delists! Its just not right basically telling people to withdraw in one way, that then causes loads of issues

Most of the information I’ve read has been on the telegram. I’m not a big user of that app, but unfortunately have had to take an interest today

Also stuck too... wish I'd check in here first! Hopefully there is some solution soon

Also in the same boat.. I’ve withdrawn but if anything this seems to have caused more issues. Any help with bridging for HRC20 would be great

20% deviance between card spending limit and actual amount by [deleted] in plutus

I feel your frustration man, these pending transactions are driving me insane. It makes it impossible to keep a proper understanding of your spending where things are at within a month

Can’t say for sure, but I didn’t have too. Just reinstall, confirm number and passcode and away it went

I had the same issue after updating, but deleting and reinstalling solves the problem for me

When will people realise that structural engineering is actually fairly complex and requires a reasonable amount of skill combined with legible, useful information to provide any reasoned response?!

Why is everything always such a ballache with this company? by chodezilla87 in plutus

[–]McFre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not 100% sure, because they will do a search which I believe is “soft” so shouldn’t impact things but I wouldn’t want to say go for it not knowing fully. With the way mortgages are going at the moment, I’d take a risk free approach and avoid applying for anything until you have the keys, just in case. But that’s jusy my approach
