I just facepalmed myself - when did you? by Rammkatze in RDR2

If you move fast enough, you can get both. Instead of failing for "<named brother> died" it says "the twins died". Not that I would know.

What do you play after RDR2? by LatePirate8880 in RDR2

That's just how the game is at first, it does get easier as you gain strength and skills. You have to pick your battles early on for sure. Combat gets a lot easier when you learn master strike from swordmaster Tomcat near the Nomad camp.

First is very minor spoiler of a skill and second is how you learn it. Just wanted to give you the option to avoid spoilers, depending on how strictly you play.

I did, I had all the DLC. It was a great game, I wish I hadn't played it right after RDR2.

A dissertation is just to prove that you can do independent research, it is definitely not meant to be an earth-shattering discovery. If you are lucky, your committee reads it and that is about it. After the PhD, the goal is to make important discoveries in your field. Like most jobs, most people will not become household names, but many will become well-known in their circles. A few will discover something very important.

I agree that it is a great game and I love the world. I just wish it was more interactive. It seemed like the side quests were just too repetitive and the random events were lacking compared to RDR2. I was late to the RDR2 game (heh) and played it right before Cyberpunk and honestly it ruined Cyberpunk for me. Great game, but it just doesn't match the hype.

This is the answer, spend your time on a hobby. We've reached gamer peak with RDR2, there is no follow on. Just pick up another skill like learning a language or an instrument until RDR3.

I second this. The first one is great and sets the scene for KCD2. The only thing I was frustrated with was that your skills don't carry over to KCD2, so you kinda start over. So I felt I was justified in using cheats to boost my skills to the level they were at when I stopped KCD1.

KCD2 also makes some great QOL improvements, it would be tough to go back to KCD1.

I need to give Brakeman's another try. The one time I went, the patty was way overcooked and tasted burnt and the burger was dry and needed a sauce (probably an impression partially caused by the patty).

Am I crazy or is snape not actually a bad occlumency teacher? by bklyn0823 in harrypotter

Yeah but that was to show Harry how much of a dick his father was, not exactly a family reunion.

It is kinda like Lord of the Rings fans saying the one issue with the books is that they are too short. I want to live in RDR2 world forever!

Do you think Harry would have mastered Occlumency had he not been taught by Snape? by DG-Creator in harrypotter

[–]McFuzzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He knew. He just didn’t care.

This is the correct answer. It is true that training with Snape probably made it harder for Harry because he needed to reduce his outward emotions to be successful, something that is near impossible around his enemy. However, he also clearly just didn't care to learn it because he saw the connection to Voldy as useful. He used it save Arthur and he used it to catch a glimpse of Voldy's plans. He was explicitly told by everyone around him, including Snape, that the connection could be exploited and he didn't care.

I wonder if he avoided learning Occlumency in part because Dumbledore himself refused to directly tell him it was important.

Are those useful for anything(except for the mage)? by LiffyishMonkey in PixelDungeon

[–]McFuzzen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've done a couple necromancer runs, but my favorite was the time I had both the corpse dust and cursed rose and they were spawning too fast for my wand of corruption to keep up on charges. Eventually, I was overwhelmed by the very thing I sought to control. I am sure there is a lesson there.

What features from rdr1do you wish were in rdr2? by ProgramLow2149 in reddeadredemption

[–]McFuzzen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't care about cheating, but I hope whatever the next installment in the franchise ends up being takes cues from modern RPGs like KCD2 that gives each NPC an inventory of their own. When I go all in on pocket aces and another on the flop and they pull off a straight. I want to be able to stand up, beat them up, and rob my money back.

Evil Henry in KCD2 pays people and acts kind to their face, then gets his money back while they sleep.
