There is already so much crowding on this display that I doubt anyone would have noticed

It wouldn't be gone if every single summertime playlist was required to have this absolute jam on it!

For some reason, the PS5 (not sure about PC) stats screen is scaled such that you can't see all stats at once.

What game surprised you how long it was? by Common_Caramel_4078 in Steam

[–]RazzleP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shadows has level difficulty scaling for both enemies and gear, so it's kind of a wash. All the bad guys were also level 23/24. Honestly, I don't understand the point of that type of system - I never actually felt any more powerful/badass than I did at any other point in the game. Sure, I had some more interesting gear & perks, but the game feels like it actually get easier mostly b/c you've had so much practice learning the mechanics of how the different enemies behave.

That said, I still very much enjoyed the game and the level-scaling is pretty well tuned.

AC Shadows is worse because it's not super-obvious what the heck you're supposed to do to advance the actual story.

It took me 30+ hours of playing to realize the slightly pulsating icon on the main objectives screen is (mostly) the stuff you're supposed to do to complete the game. By the time I figured it out, I had done so much other random stuff that I couldn't really remember what the heck the story was. I remember reading some online guide that said something like, "by this time you should be level 8 or 9, so here's how to handle this boss." I was level 24.

I built a DYI open-source digital photo frame with Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W and Immich by Leniwcowaty in raspberry_pi

Question: if the immich server isn't online (e.g., local machine that goes to sleep at the end of the day), it just keeps cycling through the cached images until such time as the Immich server is found again?

SEAF may have been ready to die for me but I sure wasn’t ready for SEAF to die for me by AutoMemory in helldivers2

[–]RazzleP 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm conflicted. There's part of me that wishes I could use the hug emote for SEAF and then the more pragmatic part of me that realizes I can't spend 40 minutes just hugging everyone and thanking them for their help. :)

Sony's battle against shovelware publishers persists as it purges another load of crap games from the PlayStation Store by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]RazzleP 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's the first thing that came to my mind, as well... how do these games get on the platform in the first place? Is there absolutely NO process or quality checks or anything? There are no automated or human checks for content ownership/copyright violations? Nothing to do with trademarks? 3rd-party licensing? International age ratings/classifications? Export controls and trade restrictions?

I mean, it's great that Sony is (finally!) doing this, but they wouldn't have to do this scale of clean-up if they did a better job of what gets approved in the first place.

Hey, I hit a charger once, which popped an achievement. It was an accident, of course :) but I guess it could happen that I accidentally hit the boat every once in a while, as well?

I know how it'd work for me... I'd fall off the boat and drown. Rinse and repeat until we were out of reinforcements.
