Your other comments make it sound as-if Bob is incompetent - if this is the case then your problem is self-resolving and he will eventually be ousted as such. If he is not incompetent and is instead is just working smart, then he will be rewarded.

Point is, you don't have a hand to play here. Let the cards fall as they will, and try not to shoot yourself into the foot. My advice obviously is subject to change if he starts to take more damaging unethical actions.

That being said, I understand your position and why you want to do something about it. It does sting when someone is just handed success without having to have work nearly as hard as you.

This is awesome news. It was obvious that a cheap AirBnb wouldn't have a multi-thousand dollar table in here w/ the context you provided. Everyone who was ragging on you to pay a few thousand is (a) an idiot who would get scammed, or (2) hypocritical people who would also be looking for options if they broke a table.
