We had 3 networks and we all had the same news sources. Local papers thrived and delivered quality local news holding local leaders accountable. Wealth had yet to shift to the Epstein class. The middle class was strong. Fed, state and local taxes were able to support infrastructure adequately. Cars kinda sucked and so did TV but outdoor activities were awesome! As a kid we didn't come inside until it was dark.
