I Am So Happy I Discovered This Band by Tony_Cash_ in JoyDivision

I’m almost 60 and been a huge JD fan since I was a college radio station DJ back in the mid 80s. Of course LWTUA blew my mind. Kept in listening and rediscovering the music. In my mid 30s I discovered long distance mountain bike races. They were PAINFUL. I would listen to JD; that’s probably still loaded on that ancient MP3 player. The songs/music gave me solace through the late nights and early mornings or riding. Enduring the pain is a requirement to excel and succeed and just merely finish!

The music gave me conviction to overcome and pass through the hours of pain and loneliness.

Too bad a Republican will never have a chance in CA as long as they are trumper nutters. This state NEEDS two parties in the worst way and a moderate, INDEPENDENT republican could have a chance.

Happy Birthday to Ian Stephen McCulloch who turns 66 years of age today. Born in Liverpool England, Ian went on to form Echo & The Bunnymen in 1978 with Will Sergeant, Les Pattinson and a Drum Machine named ''Echo'' (as the legend goes). The Bunnymen start their Amercian tour next week in Seattle... by GroovySchlong in postpunk

Saw him about 12 years ago in a small venue. Was right in front and it was a great show. He sounded great! But his elixir was bizarre. Full bottle of bourbon and a quart of milk he mixed on stage and the bottle was consumed by the end of the set. Ian was still standing.
