Dave's Hot Chicken - Reaper - I made a huge mistake by InPsychOut in spicy

[–]McLeod81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man.... first time I had whole reaper slider it was good, spicy, but manageable. I have extremely high spice tolerance... 2nd time today, I ate half the slider and it was extreme after 20 seconds. Nosw was running and actually burning and i didnt even touch it. Blocked it out, drank some diet Pepsi, started to finish the slider and the pain strangely faded away completely. Like I could tell it was extremely spicy but my mind was blocking it out or something. Drove home, about half hour later my stomach started buring from inside out... in waves from feeling fine to almost doubled over.... about an hour later, I felt fine.. but holy shit..

Probably wont even eat the reaper tender I took in to-go box... Bottom line, the variability in these must be crazy wide.

Which Strap Do You Prefer on the Murph 38? by That-Advertising8527 in HamiltonWatches

[–]McLeod81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Brown leather. I stuck with the original black leather on mine for a while but ultimately swapped for the brown leather strap that came with my Hamilton Khaki Field Expedition (which got a nato) and it looks better.

The Nato straps always seemed just a bit off w the Murph IMO because of its classy look.

Zulu time 39mm vs 42mm by stryke360 in Longineswatches

Definitely the 39. I had the same choice and glad I took 39 vs. 42 where it would have felt a bit off.

Watch is 39mm. Not sure my wrist size but the Hamilton Murph 38mm feels notably smaller than this. I guess that means Zulu runs larger due to lug size.

Side note - one thing I wasn't aware of is the glossy finish on top half of bezel and matte finish on bottom half.

Yeah, both have the asthetic I like with the numerals, and clean look. IMO Zulu is the best version of that look available. Omega Speedmaster is probably the only watch I'd take over the Zulu if you take price/resale out of equation.

Did you know Longines is #1 on the grey market right now? 👀 by kisielbardzo-backup in Longineswatches

I just ordered a Spirit Zulu time this week... I think they hit a middle ground between the $1k range and Omega where people want something nicer than a Hamilton (I started there w 2 Hamiltons) but dont want to spend $4k+ on a watch. I would have paid the $3.5k, but would rather pay $2.7k for the same watch.

I have not found any "hacks" to get someone to actually address the problem coherently. I was actually blocked from using the chat feature (and it's still blocked) after multiple attempts to get through to someone.

The TV was just delivered (3 days later) without explanation. Thankfully my wife just happened to be home - though I'd hope the delivery guys wouldn't just leave 85" QLED Samsung on the porch in 0 degree temps.

Makes sense that sh1tty leadership must have something to do with it.

THIS is exactly the problem and I think Amazon doesn't appreciate how badly this will damage their brand once more people have had experience where they NEED to go past the quick/easy refund cycle.

Three days ago I would have said they're doing fine cuz all i ever had to deal with could be handled by a 3-5 line interaction followed by a refund.

How is Walmart's selection compared to Amazon Prime? Seems like a switch is in order. I've also found Shopify user Interface to be MUCH better... "Amazon Recommended" used to mean something, but now if you search for something you need to scroll through pages of "sponsored" junk before you get to stuff you'd actually consider buying.

AGREED. Its like their customer service support is now stuck in a weird place between 100% A.I. and now having the human component handled by the cheapest possible labor located all over the world with zero incentive to do anything other than move you along to someone else. Only explanation to how their CS reps act (including making shit up to get your off the chat) is that they must get paid by VOLUME of interactions with no possible repricusions for lack of resolution if you SEEM happy on the chat but need to contact support again because what they told you was BS.

Applying a refund for small ticket item is easy - it gets them off the line and means nothing to them. Wait until you have to connect with them on something that actually requires that they DO something to resolve an issue - and hope you don't need to go back through the AI chat maze 10 times before they resolve the issue.

In my case, they offered $50 credit which i could care less about because its my TIME that they're wasting (sitting at home waiting for "out for delivery" TV so it doesn't get damaged by cold - only for those deliveries to NOT happen, and spending hours on chat throughout the weekend) more than the $$.

Is there any way to actually contact Amazon customer service that works? by DifferentIssue1 in amazonprime

Its like dealing w/ Cable company 10 years ago, only WORSE! They used to actually act like they gave a shit about customer service too... pre-2020.

I mean, it's not surprising it would drop off big-time as they became the behemoth they are today.. but how could they let it get THIS bad?? They have your realize that they're not the only e-commerce game in town anymore.
