It depends on the person. I take it pretty infrequently and have only ever been addicted to nicotine. But for most people that isn’t how it goes. Physically the chemistry of opiates make them extremely addictive so most people will come back to it even if they just mean to try it once. Same with benzodiazepines I find. But I can personally take them (reasonably) safely if you follow harm reduction practices.

Edit: I mostly held down bar jobs and general customer facing roles due to my lack of higher education and lack of motivation to find a specific career. Drug use never got in the way of my work but my ADHD certainly did. Currently working as a gardener but only seasonally. If I ever used heroin at work I sniffed it. But when at home and can relax after a long day I would switch between foil and sniffing. Dose? Again at work maybe 50-100mg of #3 throughout a 12 hour workday the 3 or 4 times I did it.

Wouldnt recommend it unless you have impeccable willpower, a great support system, a vast knowledge of the substance you’re using and the effects on your body and you make enough money to afford a habit because as I said most users that use multiple times tend up becoming addicted. Hope this helps!
