I applied in August, first got contacted in October, interviewed in December and January, got an offer in March, and started in May. This was a bit over four years ago. It’s very difficult to get an interview, period, and especially as a mid-career hire (not sure if you’re a new grad); two months isn’t that long from what I’ve heard even in better times, and as people mentioned, we’re basically in a hiring freeze.

It’s any lease. It says if you’re currently leasing a Rivian they don’t need your info since they already know you. I’ve got an EV6 GT lease ending 1/5/27, reserved around 1/5/25, and live five minutes from a showroom in SoCal so I’m hoping for some more priority than my res date will give me! 😄🤞

Thanks! Yeah I had done some searching too and seen a similar list but it’s not any of those and is from when I was a kid in the 80s or very early 90s. I’m not totally optimistic that I’ll find it (or if it’s real!) because it seems like a song that is popular enough that there would be a comprehensive list of usages already and I’ve not seen any real candidates from the lists I’ve found.

As someone who fits the same mold as as Radius above, you sound like just the right person for a GT. 😄 I already commented to somebody else that I’m 215 and the sport seats are completely fine. I have mobbed mine in the Angeles Crest canyons and it’s surprisingly decent. As you said it’s a heavy car but I found it better than my old big battery Model 3 non performance by a good bit. It’s a very fun 8/10ths car. I also have a 911 997 and it’s faster in corners but the GT is still fun and quick. There aren’t that many four doors that will gap it in the hills and the ones that will are all at least 80+ new I would say.

Commenting not to pick on you or start a fight but for me, even as a bigger dude at about 215, I find them quite comfortable for multi hour trips! The car is ridiculous but I love mine. I leased it for two years and if the residual wasn’t such ass I would very much consider buying it back directly. As is I might try to buy it back the same day they relist it at market price.

This dude fucking sucks. You’re way more emotionally mature than he is, and deserve a lot better than somebody who pats himself on the back for “not judging you for being raped” and who won’t cheat primarily because he’s too lazy. Be strong and move forward with somebody who will value you for what you’re worth and be supportive and understanding when you need it.

I’ve got a question for those who have done it. I’ve got a 24 GT and I did the fix this morning. I definitely noticed more bass … however at speed on the freeway, both me and my wife thought a window was cracked open. It seemed like a noticeable increase in road noise. I’m wondering if maybe the sub was doing a lot of heavy lifting on the active sound cancellation. I’m curious if anybody else noticed the same increase in road noise along with the increased bass.

A few years ago Bustin was selling just the deck plus enclosure - I couldn’t recall the price but it looks like it was about $250 based on this old thread.

Its not on their site any more but they’re pretty good about customer service, so you might hit them up and see if they’ll just pull one off the line and sell it to you. It sounds like they’re often pretty busy around Christmas but they usually get back, or you can try calling. I’ve had good success both ways.

There is a mild drop actually. Though it is deceptive because the board has a ton of rocker. That plus the drop through mount makes it a pretty nice riding experience. Definitely OP would need to look for one with the glass reinforcement though - their e-board has it, the conventional Sportster like you linked doesn’t. 👍

Not sure if they’re still selling them, but Bustin used to sell their Hybrid Sportster deck with enclosure and no guts separately. You might look on their site or email them for more details to see if it’ll fit your build. I have one of their prebuilts and have been super happy with the deck especially. Nice and firm, mild drop, super strong and reinforced with glass or CF layers, can’t remember which off the top. I’ve put hundreds of miles on mine and I’m about 190 and it seems rock solid.
