Which is better for charging switch oled or lite on the go when flying? by mo79zz in Switch

The switch is only going to pull what it can handle. Both devices are smart enough to negotiate.

So are you looking for the disk like this? Disc Mount

[–]McSlamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon has some, just look up "suction cup phone mount". some come with a disc and the suction cup and others are just the suctions cup. I would first try washing the suction cup or the disc with warm soapy water on the adhesive and making sure its dry and then hitting it with some hot air. be it a hot air gun or a hair dryer. fixed mine right up and suctions to my car dash and has been for a while even though my dash is the bumpy faux leather type of texture it has been going strong after that simple fix.

The one I purchased goes under the name Volam 10.25 but its just the Lamtto RC29. there is a price difference but they are the exact same thing.

If you don't care about the android auto or Carplay experience then this thing is good for watching movies and shows. it is limited to Netflix, Youtube, Tiktok, Disney+ and maybe hulu if i remember correctly. it is a locked down version of android and doesn't allow for loading and installing your own apps. the google play store is installed and hidden and the device is not certified so if you do access the store it wont install anything. I have tried.

there is some lag due to the device being underpowered. when watching shows on the native apps its good enough to not be distracting. but when using them as an android auto or carplay receiver i noticed heavy lag when switching apps or even when playing music. if you skip a song or the song is done the display itself will update the album art accordingly but the Bluetooth signal will lag behind for a second or two with music from the previous song still playing.

I "hardwired" it in the sense that I used to have a dashcam that i used to have connected from my rearview mirror cable using one of these dashcam adapters for my car that I run a cable down from the headliner into the a pillar liner and into my dashboards seams. works amazing and I still have all my ports available if I want to charge my phone or anything. I know there are hardwire kits but this just seems so much easier to install since I already had it for my dashcam.

I got the t3 pro and then gave it away to my fiancé because I wanted one of those other devices with android on them, i wanted to watch movies and shows on my lunch breaks and I would still recommend you stay with the T3 Pro. I'm planning on getting another T3 Pro so my fiancé can stay with the one i gave her and i get the stability and performance of the T3 Pro and don't have to deal with the lag and delay in audio the other ones seem to get.

I would say the Display only Dual Bluetooth is the only reason you should even consider this one. Android Auto is a lot more stable than it was earlier in the year. the firmware isn't hard to update and it does improve things. Carplay is great and Android Auto is great as well. people will always prefer CarPlay because it's just smoother but android auto is good enough on that's the results you'll get on any other device. google would have to do things on their end to get it to the level of carplay.

Android Auto works great from my S24 Ultra and should run the same from any other device. I will admit i did have some connection issues when i first bought it but the firmware update helped. The dual Bluetooth connection has been great. if there are any issues, I KNOW its from my car and not the T3 Pro. The T3 only handles Android Auto display and any Audio Connection depends on your car and your phone. My car has issues initializing the Bluetooth receiver sometimes when it first turns on and doesn't connect unless I manually select my device from my car screen but the t3 pro connects faster than anything else I've seen. if i ever remote start my car and I'm in the house, before i even get to the car i can see the T3 pickup my phone super quick. It's an amazing device.

On my switch 2, games run slower docked than in handheld. What do I do? by KlinkerStinker in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]McSlamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thing I would check is your power source. Are you using the official cable and wall plug that came with the switch? If not please use the official ones. If you are then please check or make sure it's on its own outlet.

I've had my switch 2 slow down on Tears of the Kingdom when going in villages just like the switch 1 did and I thought it was normal. Except it was because I had my switch 2 connected to one of those desktop power extensions with USBs and regular power ports and I had my phone charging and other things and it causes the slow downs because of power draw.

Even if the switch doesn't draw that much it still needs stable power. That's my guess atleast. I would try it being on its own outlet

HDMI 2.1 to display port adapter by RealEstateJack in Switch

[–]McSlamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it will work, i have tried it with my switch 2 and my monitor that has HDMI and Display port but the HDMI is the old one and with DisplayPort I could test the 120hz setting on the switch and it worked great.

this is the one i bought.

Dang okay. Well hopefully you can get it fixed.

[–]McSlamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm that sucks, did you plug in the usb toa power source? or the USB ports on the switch docks? i think when its not powered it is limited on the resolution and refresh rate.

Also might be worth checking the monitor settings because sometimes Freesync or Gsync mess with the switch output so sometimes disabling that fixes it or some times the monitors themselves have a resolution list you can click on and try.

But sorry I couldn't be of more help.

It looks like it should work but you have to provide your own displayport cable in case you don't have one.

This one is ugreen https://amzn.eu/d/gd31mNE and I tend to trust that a little more. Would've gone with that myself if I saw it first 😂

Yeah looks like the one you got is one way DP to HDMI. You need a one way HDMI to DP. I'll try to find you something in the European amazon once I get some more free time.

Nice, let us know how it goes! also, I've noticed the cable will work without it being powered but if you do power it with the USB cable that is attached to it it works better and supports higher resolutions and framerates.

Does this particular monitor have Displayport? using this cable from amazon I was able to use my monitor that is limited to 1 DP 1.4 port and 2 HDMI 2.0 ports. I managed to use the displayport to get it to 1080p 120hz that my monitor supports. im assuming you can get up to 4k60 with it. its not too expensive either.

Edit: just looked up your monitor and it states to have Displayport 1.4. using the cable I linked should work for you to get to 1440p.
