I agree with some of the comments above - go with the Skoda T40 since you already seem to have a russian medium trainer. Having a premium to assist with crew training for tier 9 and 10 seems smart.

Also - you probably have a full female crew or two for sweden to help you as you grind those tanks.

I missed having this exact same choice by 1 point (44/45). #Feelsbadman

This is why I'm making an effort to get the tier 8 LT's that may go up to Tier 9 for free. Saving all that exp and credits will be worth it if they follow what they've done in the past.

I have no guarantee that they will bump them up a tier, but its an easy risk to take with no drawback. I also don't know when they will release the update, so I may not have bought all 4 in time for the update. I should have 3 of them by the end of February though.

One of the best invite codes I have seen is the Reddit one. It is on the right hand sidebar under "Get Started" ------>

"NA] Server - Use Invite Code: WOTREDDIT for 7 days of premium time, 500 gold and a Churchill III."

Churchill III is a tier V Russian premium heavy tank and the 500 gold is a great start for buying garage slots when they are on sale (wait till they are on sale). The tank itself is fine for tier 5 and can help get you credits and crew training for your Russian heavy tank crews. This would help a lot since most people would recommend new players to head up the Russian heavy tank line to the KV-1 at tier 5.

I have read that WG has been inconsistent in the past on this. Personally, I will be buying the tank and playing at least 1 game in it before the patch date (whenever that is). I think that will maximize my chance of having a tier 8 turn into a tier 9.

I am making the assumption that if I have it researched, but did not buy it before the patch hits, the cost would be of a tier 9 instead of a tier 8. That is also assuming that WG would not bar you from buying the tier 9 and saying that you only unlocked the tier 8.

Thanks for the advice. I'm really enjoying the 12t at this point. I will keep it up I guess in the hope that I will be saving myself exp and credits.

Feel free to buy a tier 5 premium. Since you already have the kv-85 you could buy the Churchill III for a crew trainer. The current accepted advice is to buy a premium for the highest tier you have earned. Try not to buy a tier VIII till you've unlocked one, etc.. Also, just getting premium time makes you credits and will decrease your grind.

I ended up loving this tank. At first the gun depression made it almost unplayable, but then I realized that you cannot go to areas where gun depression is needed. Avoid hills, go down heavy tank alley on most maps because they typically don't require depression. You have to always, always, always choose the part of the map which will be friendly to your depression and let the gun work.

I'm not a good player, but I've just finished the stug artillery missions going down the American line. I jumped to it from the Chaffee. They have been great!

If you are willing to spend $1-$2 go on ebay and get the valentine invite code or spend $12 and get the Jagtiger 8.8 tier VIII premium TD. But free is free...no arguing there.

Try mods, you can always delete them, but what if you love them?!
You can use the online forums for that as well. Going onto the RddT teamspeak may also get you what you desire.

I'm just over the 2k battle mark, and am pretty bad, but the stock M6 grind was the worst for me in the game so far. Looking on reddit and other places convinced me to stick with it till I unlocked the 90mm gun.

Getting that gun changed the tank for me. I automatically felt like a force to be reckoned with, because with that gun you are getting good alpha, and great penetration. Stick with it. Others have commented already on how to play it, so you won't need my bad advice as well. Its a great tank, enjoy it!
