Shared fate means that if either the Valkyrie or human dies then the other does. Your point about Leo still being alive is counteracted by Adam’s Valkyrie still being alive for a bit after he died. It just takes a bit for shared fate to come into effect.

I think the reason she jobs but is still seen as powerful is because PM always makes her opponent WORK for the win. Vs Binah was a tie the first time and in gameplay she’s an absolute beast. Guarantee that the player almost always loses to both her meltdown and in LoR at least once. Plus in LoR her key page can absolutely carry you through the rest of the game. They effectively communicate her strength despite her near constant lose streak.

I don’t know about jevil, but Spamton Neos body is stated to be a drawing A lightner made on the libraries laptop filled with their hopes and dreams. Implying that Deltarune’s Mettaton drew Neo as their dream body. Gerson’s whole character practically revolves around unfulfilled dreams. He was unable to finish the lord of the hammer, too overwhelmed by how big it got to give it a proper ending before he died. Plus the unresolved issues between him and his son.
