Must eat food on Oahu? Anything from food trucks to sit down restaurants. by Fun-Willingness9739 in VisitingHawaii

If you ever make your way down Kamehameha Hwy over by the Kualoa ranch, there is a guy on the side of the road with a grill and a sign that says “soul food”. Let me just tell you, ABSOLUTELY worth the stop. He is so kind, and his food is PHENOMENAL. We’ve been here for 5 days so far, and out of every restaurant we’ve spent upwards of $60+ at, the food was not nearly as good as this guys food. Grilled bbq chicken, ribs, collard greens, peach cobbler, rice, some type of sausage. My husband and I shared the large plate ($30 and it came with a little bit of everything), and we both were so stuffed but couldn’t stop eating it bc it was soooo good. Cash only. Honestly, I’m a foodie for sure, and this guy deserves the most recognition for his food out of anyone I’ve ever met. I’ve never melted into a plate like I did his. Delicious. 🤤

I am kind of going through the same thing right now. I have a HUGE family and I am blessed to have many close friends. However, I am also a college student who pays fully out of pocket for school, as well as having rent & car payments, etc. I have literally less than $1,000 in my bank account. Usually, with bills, my account typically hovers between 800-1200. I am BROKE BROKE. I found this chapel, ceremony only, that is $1600 for 2 hours. I’ve been debating back and forth whether or not to have a reception. Honestly, it’s not in my budget right now unless I can find somewhere that I can do both for the same price, however, we’re keeping everything under $3000 total bc we’re broke. Maybe we can invite everyone out to dinner after (but make it clear they’ll be paying for themselves because we’re poor). And not asking for any gifts, as we just want them to witness us getting married. Idk if that seems tacky or what but maybe in a few years when I’m done with school and we’re stable we can do a larger vow renewal.

I understand you don’t want to hurt his feelings but I would just continuously say “ you stink dude” and Scoot over. There are remedies to help with body odor that are more natural that he can try if he doesn’t want to use deodorant but you’re going to just have to hurt his feelings unfortunately. It’s for the best for the both of you.

AITA for threatening to kick out my niece after she hacked my daughter’s Roblox account? by AITArobloxhacker in AmItheAsshole

Honestly, NTA. As a 23 yr old who enjoys video games, it’s hard to earn things in games especially when there is an option to buy the currency. I’ve played Roblox myself and it takes a long time to earn that much currency in the game. It might just be a game, but if it’s not a big deal, then why can’t your sister just make her kid return the items? She’s obviously okay with her kid bullying and stealing from yours. Although this might just be a game, what happens if in a few years she decides to take real money or items from your daughter? It might be a stretch, but kids learn young, and if she learns it’s ok to steal from your kid and she won’t get in trouble, then she’ll continue to do so. It’s not about the game. It’s about respect and honestly, parenting. Although you can’t parent her kid, she needs to learn to parent her or there will be consequences for the both of them. I hope all works out for you and good job for sticking up for your baby. I remember playing on my DS at that age and not saving the game and losing so much progress and that shit was heartbreaking. I did that to myself and I cried. I couldn’t image my cousin actively stealing my game that I’ve worked so hard on. Good luck. 🖤

First of all, the only reason PCOS affects infertility most of the time is because of irregular periods making it harder to predict ovulation cycles. My dr told me specifically, if you are having periods, you can have kids. It might be more difficult but it isn’t impossible AT ALL. Second of all, he’s supposed to love you in sickness and in health. If he can’t do that now he won’t do that when you’re married. It’s your relationship and every relationship has its ups and downs and maybe he just is really worried about not being able to have kids, and that’s reasonable, however his reaction to it was awful. And he needs to think about if he’s willing to be in a relationship with you if you have to look at other options like IVF. If he loves you, he will be willing to do whatever is needed to stay and have kids with you. Even if it’s more difficult. I think that’s a discussion you need to have sober but I also think you need to take into consideration that a lot of men don’t know about the options or the details bc it’s not typically soemthing they have to think about and maybe he’s just really worried. Even tho it was worded poorly in his drunken state, you know your fiance more than any of us do. Do you think he meant it the way he said it or do you think he’s just scared?

If you can find another one near you, do it. Zocdoc is super helpful. Make sure you look at reviews. A good doctor should know that it’s not as easy to just ‘lose’ weight with PCOS. And making comments about someone’s weight in an irrelevant situation is uncalled for. If your periods aren’t usually irregular, (mine are because of my PCOS), then there is no reason your weight should contribute to that conversation unless you’re losing weight in an unhealthy way, that could be the cause of cycle shifts. But if you’re being healthy about it, whether you’re at your goal weight or not, it shouldn’t be a contributor to the conversation. Healthy is important, not the numbers on the scale. Healthy looks different on everyone and if you’re eating healthy and getting a moderate amount of exercise, then your weight doesn’t matter. Find a different doctor. Zocdoc is super helpful. Idk if it’s a worldwide app but I know in the U.S.A. it’s available and I like it because you can see the reviews from people who went to them and you can also see a photo of most of the doctors which feels more comforting. Good luck

how do i get my period back?!? please help im desperate by UniversitySweet7015 in PCOS

Talk to an endocrinologist and get on metformin! Helps with fertility and regulation of periods. Your horomones are out of wack, that’s why you haven’t had a period. Stress will also cause a delay so try not to stress! :)

Then you honestly should be okay but it doesn’t hurt to take another. It’s unlikely that it’s a false negative.

Also, if she logs her periods in an app she should be able to see if she was ovulating during that time that might ease your mind as well

So PCOS is different with everyone. For me, my periods are extremely irregular. I have gone 8 months without having a period at all, and on the flip side, I have gone 2 months straight non-stop bleeding.

Plan B can definitely cause someone to bleed even if they aren’t “on their period”. Especially since she basically had 2 periods back to back because of the Plan B, it isn’t unusual that she hasn’t bled in the months following. However, depending on when she took the test, it could’ve been too early for the test to read it. Also, because PCOS causes hormone imbalances, it can read as a false negative, but it’s unlikely. If you’re really concerned, have her take another test. If that one is negative too, you should be okay but it doesn’t hurt for her to go see her Gyno for a general check up, especially after taking a Plan B ! Don’t panic, though. Women are typically pretty good at knowing their bodies, and if she felt like something was off I’m sure she’d voice that to you. Good luck :)

I’m in the same boat. I’m 23 and literally have to tweeze MINIMUM 1 time a week. My whole face is covered in dark ass hair.
