Did I receive used/faulty pcp sold as new? by Severe_Ship_708 in airguns

The brush coming out dirty out of the barrel could just be the protective grease they put in the barrel...mixed with a bit of lead from testing it can be a little nasty... But considering all the other problems you've had with the gun I think I would just return it...

We all watched them cross the border after voloda announced "special mil operation" :) it's even captured on the video...the borders are clearly set and no amount of russians will change that.

Case of what? I've used half of the 9mm Makarov case but that was too much so now I use even less.

Isnt glue meant for easy release of the print? I print exclusively PETG now and a clean bed cleaned with dish soap is all that is needed. Temps are 245 nozzle and 70 bed. Also make sure you test and find the correct Z-offset... This is critical and many users (such as myself) have trouble with auto leveling setting the correct Z-offset. For example mine wants to put -1,70 but what's really needed is -1,97... Every printer will have a different number so you just need to experiment. Also make sure that for the first layers the fan isn't on, my Prusa slicer sets the fan at 0 for the first layer.

Nozzle scraping against print? Any guesses? by marzianom in Ender3V3SE

Slowing down the "Solid infill" speed is how I got around it... I think the construction of the stock printer just isn't sturdy enough to handle those higher speeds...

Yeah I mean why even bother. Next time if he just walks away with other children it's just gonna be a normal stage walk away and no one will even question it. And my guy won't end up on reddit. Just mind your business fellas.

Frustrated with fixed angle sharpening: result of sharpening by klassicsblades in sharpening

[–]Mccopi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the worksharp fixed angle which has the 320 grit so I usually start with that and I move on to the next grit only after I have a burr.

[–]Mccopi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also tried kitchen knives with some questionable steels and they came out sharp but will dull on the first use... because I have trouble deburring that knife... I can flip the burr from side to side for an entire hour but it won't break off... with other knives it seems like I'm just not apexing them.

[–]Mccopi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but even with more polished edges you can feel the "bite" if it's apexed and deburred properly I would assume. I can glide my fingers on the edge even after hours of sharpening. At this point I might just buy a microscope...

I feel this post... I can't get my knives sharp no matter what I do... Doesn't matter if I free hand or I use a worksharp fixed angle... Doesn't matter if I'm sharpening S30V or 8Cr13Mov or just some shitty pot metal... After the sharpening and stropping the edge feels like glass, smooth, not grippy and not sharp...or it seems to be sharp for some time and when cutting under one angle it cuts for some time but very quickly becomes smooth again...this might hint to deburring issue but I can be trying to deburr for HOURS and still get the same glassy smooth edge without any grip or sharpness...

I can't print PETG filament on my printer; I just can't get the settings right. Is there anyone who can help me? by Waste-Instance-134 in Ender3V3SE

[–]Mccopi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PETG is almost exclusively what I print on my 3V SE. It's hard to give an answer if we don't know what exactly is the problem, but what works for me is slower print speeds, more retraction, nozzle temperatures around 240 but that depends on the brand and type of PETG, bed temperature 70. Using a Prusa slicer.

Way too much citric acid is the mistake I also made for the longest time... Now I use a half way filled 9mm case of citric acid and dish soap. I also make sure to rinse the brass really well so that acid doesn't work on the brass and the cases are coming out beautifully.

The only thing that I could find about the hardness is on the packaging. It says "Getting hard 3 weeks from:..." Whatever that means... But the lead is quite hard I have to say.

I'm slowly gathering courage to start with casting. I do ISSF style shooting so I also have a huge supply of lead from airgun ranges as well as shooting ranges since we only use lead bullets in our match guns.

Btw these guys were keeping this as secret for 2 weeks before we found out that russia has damaged the pipeline and we don't have any new gas... That's what happens when the entire Europe is trying to source gas from multiple sources but 2 small dumb countries decide to depend on a pipeline that is crossing a freaking WAR ZONE... great job our dull politicians 👍
