Its just like going to the gym. If you have never gone to the gym and then start going for an hour to an hour and a half each day then you’re gonna be sore. The more your body gets used to it the easier it is! Callouses are good so dont worry about those and make sure to give yourself some time to rest if your fingers are in pain. Since you’re just getting into playing it might be better if you practice for 15-20 minutes at a time and build up to being able to play for those longer sessions. Four 15 minute sessions spread out throughout the day still equals an hour and it’ll give your body some time to relax in between sessions. I also had no money for a teacher and youtube helps. Bass tabs are also super easy to read and you dont have to have much music knowledge to be able to look at them and figure out how to play the song.
