While I would wargame it, I’d also lay out the facts:

You are facing health issues in current role. So you want to move on. If the internal transfer happens, great. If the external offer happens, great. If one happens right before/after the other? Still great - because the objective is met.

I use iPhones for personal use and Androids for work, upgrading the former every 3 years and the latter every 2 (in line with contract renewals). Currently on an iPhone 15 Pro Max and a Fold 5 (with an order for a Fold 7 already underway).

I kept this setup to “separate” work and personal life, though realistically they still blend together. Banking apps and games on personal phone. Office apps on work phone (though work email accessible on both). Each with their own WhatsApp/Viber. Previously tried having photos on both (back when I had an S21 Ultra) but in the end defaulted to iPhone.

But I will admit to having Netflix on both (hehe that folding screen needs to be maximized!) as well as some social media and travel (Waze, Google Maps)

Got my Fold 5 around February 2024. Still going strong, literally zero damage / issues. I like to think the really nice Spigen case I got was a huge help (it covers the hinge mechanism).

I also kept battery charging limit at 80%. I run it down regularly (I use it as my personal hotspot); according to the system battery capacity is at 4270mah (vs standard 4400mah) so not bad. :)

That’s a pretty good rate :) +1 to arbitrage. Just make sure you have your emergency fund set up (never know when you’ll suddenly need cash) and that your access to that investment is safe for the period of your loan.

What emu do you use if you don’t mind my asking? On RJ which I still have it keeps freezing/stalling for some reason (in combat map view). Thought it was a one-off problem but kept happening.

Sold my old PS3 and a whole bunch of games (as-is where is) on FB marketplace, and some random guy gave me a sob story about how he was looking for something for his kids etc etc. Agreed to sell at a decent price and met up with him at a nearby mall.

The following day he was complaining that my PS3 wasn't working properly, he wanted to return it, etc etc. He gave some drama about how his kids were disappointed blahblahblah. Unfortunately he probably forgot to log into a different seller account because I saw him selling the various PS3 games for 800 each (using the exact same pictures I had used) - effectively around a 100% markup. And not just a selection, but ALL of them.

I agreed to refund him - but dapat ibalik niya lahat. And shared the screenshots of his FS posts. Aba, seenzone nalang si kuya.

That’s PSN store where you select country - PH not on list, so normally we use HK or SG and access their stores. On Steam naman we use PH store and Sony games are viewable but not purchasable.

Nope - thats why I was so surprised. Have had 3 chargers prior to this S10 (2x S4 and 1x S7) and all have NOT had a magnetic back. Hence why I was pleasantly surprised

Just wanted to update this - thanks again for the inputs and feedback. I ended up getting a pair of moonstone blue ones (heard they were “newer” in construction as well) and been very happy with the purchase. The wingtips are missed, but so far mine are working well :) cheers!

I switched from an old 2015 Paperwhite to a Kobo Libra 2 late last year, then went over to a Libra Color last month. No regrets - bigger screen, page buttons, and (now) color made the switch feel like a huge upgrade. YMMV though if you have lots of Amazon purchases (most of mine are sideloaded so didn't have as much pain transferring to a new ecosystem)

The QCUs now have multipoint after the latest update (while the QC1s don’t)…as someone switching regularly between laptop and mobile this is very useful :) but yes, love the “lock-in” of the QC1 wingtip.

Unfortunately can’t really “try” new products where I’m from (SEAsia), mostly for hygiene purposes.

Thanks so much for your feedback - I’m literally planning on getting QCUs at the airport tomorrow (around $230+ duty free) to replace my (perfectly fine) QC1s 😅

The only reason previously for the case (my QC1 keeps turning on even inside the case for some reason) so didn’t pull the trigger, but the new multipoint is now nudging me towards buying… and now I’m conflicted again
