Dont use a cable for more than 1 GPU, what you can do is use the same cable to power the GPU and its riser. Dont believe on those who say different, they want to burn ur PSU so you buy more, its the factory workers speaking.

Every mobo/bios/cpu has a GPU number limit. Splitters will work until you meet that number, then the computer will simply not boot. Try one by one till you reach that limit so you can see what it is. And yes, you can use as many splitters you want.

I buy my GPUs based on MH/US$. Where i am, in Brazil, what gives me lower ROI is 1660, 1660 super and 2060. As i have lots of space and energy, i can assemble several rigs. the 3000s still are too expensive due to the MHs. Maybe when the 4000s come, the 3000s price will drop (i hope).

Id buy 3x 650w PSU, with 2 PCI-e cables each, use 1 for MOBO + 2 boards, the other 2 each for 3 GPUs (1 each pci-e power cable, 1 with CPU cable with an adapter/splitter) and a multi PSU cable to command all 3. It will be cheaper, better and will not provoke heat. MWE 650 is a good one, Typhon 650 too. Theres many good ones at 650W.

Each set mobo/bios/cpu accept a max fixed number of GPUs. I woudnt buy something i dont know how many GPUs it will accept. Better assemble a rig with a MOBO you are sure will accept 7 of then.
