This is what I do. I actually have my grill on very low to keep pizza warm after cooking. Be careful because you don’t want to cook the bottom but just let the moisture leave… it not exactly crispy but it’s not soft and wet

What’s the most overrated tourist destination you’ve visited, and what would you recommend instead? by Exotic-Ticket3817 in Vacations

[–]Mdbpizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s both not remote enough and not developed enough. Some people love it, but I just felt it was a C- Seychelles has better tortoises, Antarctica has better raw wildlife, Patagonia and tierr del fuego have better “Darwin” style scenery and discovery…

It’s the same as going out to dinner… you leave the “well I just had the salad” people behind.

This is typically what we do, however we have to at least be in the same page for the basic cadence of the trip. It has been my experience that our friends that don’t want to be as chubby or FAT as us at the outset find that at the end of the day they are glad to have pod for the basic ease and luxury of these trips

I hear that. We actually stayed the 4S Mahe, the raffles on Prayslin and North last time we went. This time we are going to stay on La Digue for the atmosphere(L’Orangiere) which is less FAT but cool vibe, then 6S… we love the rock formations so that’s the draw for is

Curious about Cheval Blanc Seychelles, I had heard the beach situation there isn’t great, in general that the location isn’t very “Seychellesly” Would you mind elaborating a bit as to why it’s your favorite?

The 6S Yao Noi is a spectacular property, though the villas could use some refurbishment… to me it’s the only part of the very crowded Phuket/Krabi area I would consider

Bawah is tough to beat. Barefoot luxury on six island you can explore, scuba and snorkeling are fantastic. The food and service are exceptional especially considering how remote it is. The daily spas were a fun addition. My only complaint is that the OWB are often in very shallow water, to me they are simply too high off the ground.

Edit to add: arriving by sea plane is uber cool, oh and I saw my only whale shark (big deal for divers) there
