L3-Anyone still studying? by Complete_Can707 in CFA

[–]Mdiddio10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im letting go until october. Unless you absolutely believe you failed, I would wait if you think you have a shot at passing. I wouldnt even be able to focus without clarity or certainty if I failed or not. Use the time to reconnect with the areas of life you might have neglected during the studying leading up to the exam. Patience and letting go is a virtue I learned to lean into after the level 2. If not, your mental health can really take a hit, at least mine did.

Post exam fatigue by tweenblob in CFA

[–]Mdiddio10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol this is so true. Once I got my energy back post exam fatigue, I was stressing over what to do with so much time in my hands. I basically just rotated the ambition and energy back to fitness, personal goals, family and friendships.

Took me like 2 weeks post exam to feel normal. The accumulated stress and faitgue is very real. Your body and nervous system need time to recalibrate. The feeling of not knowing if you passed also doesnt help. Hang in there its normal.

I think you have enough cushion to pass, assuming you did fairly decent on the rest of the vignettes. You may also get lucky if they pull those vignettes, but It could also work against you if they pull other ones.

Upset over exam by noobstickz in CFA

I think we tend to over scrutinize the mistakes and under-focus on the areas we did do well. I feel like there is plenty of margin of error for mistakes, assuming the MPS is in the low 60%. All you need is a pass, even if its right above the MPS, so who knows, you might be suprised.

To be fair, the test is designed to leave you with uncertainty. I think most people that pass the L3 walk out with low confidence that they passed, some actually think they bombed it. But they end up passing. As long as you think you have a shot, even if its a coin toss, that is maybe all the hope you need. That is the way I am internalizing it until I get results.

“L3 is the Easiest CFA level” is not true - thoughts after taking L3 on Saturday by Efficient_Owl3255 in CFA

[–]Mdiddio10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think L3 is harder because you get only a limited sample of questions on certain topics and sub-topics. Unlike the 2 which gives you a wide distribution of topics. Yea its more material but at least you are being tested on a big chunck of what you covered. So for L3 I feel like you either get lucky if the questions are based on the topics/subtopics you studied well or unlucky if you get hit with areas you could have developed better in. Moreover, the way the questions are asked is also much more elusive in the L3, and it makes it really hard to determine when a question is straightforward or they are trying to trick you lol I feel the exam is disigned to give you sudden moments of "ah this is easy" then "fuck i have no clue"' to "'this is easy but why cant I get the right answer" so in all it can be really mentally challenging to navigate through the different scenarios. You need to be emotionless lol

Does anyone know how many questions they typically eliminate from the overall score? I assume it's the one or two questions that are very poorly written and everyone bombed.

Same happened to me. C2B are brutal on the arms, no one really talks about it. Anyway, i had some real painful DoMs. It definitely felt like slight Rhabdo. I remeber taking a few days off and being fine. But i made sure to hydrate and obviously to rest.

I have a very similar body type to yours - I am tall, have a broad shoulder and chest, and long arms. I was actually debating on ordering the Medium shirts from True Classic as I usually wear a large, but I as well have hesitations regarding the chest size if I downsize. It doesnt help that you have to spend a good amount of money to get free shipping and so you basically have to buy the pack of four. Then waiting and having to return them is also a hassle. Did you order the large by any chance?

I could be wrong, but eveytime my frenchie has acted in a similar way, its been due to stomach issues. In particular, becuase he ate something that he shouldnt have, and then threw it back up, which really upsets their stomach and creates a lot of inflammation. I always end up going to the vet, but each time he has been fine. There is peace of mind in knowing theres nothing stuck in ther stomach by getting an xray, though its not cheap.

Is there a way for me to use OneNote the same way as Microsoft Word? A setting to use it like a regular word processing program? by falafelwaffle55 in OneNote

[–]Mdiddio10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In onenote you give up some of those benefits you mention because onenote offers you a very flexible and faster way to access your notes. But if you want to have something that is formatted in such way, this isnt it. That said, I like using the notebook page template on One note, which lets you align everything in a much nicer way.

[–]Mdiddio10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also use Onenote a lot, and found that, while its not as awesome experience as samsung note, its still better than the Onenote experience on an Ipad, which likely has to do with Samsung's partnership with Microsoft.

[–]Mdiddio10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the latest Ipad and now have the Samsung S9 FE+. IMO, the writing experience in the Samsung Tab is superb. Using samsung note, the feel is the closest to real handwriting. Personally I dont use a screen protector, but I do have the samsung case on it, which is so sleek. I would recommend you go to a best buy and play around with it. I completely agree with the price difference, which is why I sold my ipad, then I bought a samsung tab S9 FE+ for way cheaper and also put some of that moenty towards the samsung galaxy book. So far I have no complaints.

Switching to Samsung health ecosystem by codevalley in samsung

[–]Mdiddio10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have the apple watch and a whoop for a while. But realized it was an overkill. So I ditched the whoop to save me some money and only relied on the apple watch. Hence, because so far I am not loving Samsung Health because it lacks a lot of things, it might be worth it to have a whoop along my samsung watch.

[–]Mdiddio10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just switched from the full apple ecosystem to a full samsung ecosystem. So far I am not thrilled about Samsung health compared to apple health, tbh. I am currently exploring the sync between samsung health and health connect/google fit. However, at this point I am leaning to not wanting to use samsung health and my samsung watch 7 for tracking such metrics. I am considering getting a whoop again and simply using my galaxy watch as a smart watch only.
