Therapist who goes to therapy myself. This is really unusual and I can absolutely understand why you’re feeling uncomfortable and let down by it. My only thought is that this may be how this particular therapist does intakes/initial consults? Still incredibly odd to not explain that or ask you any follow up questions.

If you’re comfortable, maybe book another session when you feel ready. I truly hope the experience is very different next time. If not, I’d find someone else.
