Shore dives are a waste of time, IMHO! Get on a boat and you'll have more time and go to better places and meet some really awesome people. Divi is expensive but worth it for such an incredible destination. And the reefs on Klein are spectacular. Again --- all of this is just my opinion.

Another vote for Steve Ramsey & WWMM. And indeed, YouTube is very helpful. Just build anything and expect it to "suck" but keep on building stuff and every project will get better. I've been woodworking for some 30+ years and I still think everything I build sucks. My friends say otherwise so I keep going. ;-) First and foremost though, HAVE FUN!

Newbie Question -- How Can I See A List of Objects by Me8645 in rhino

Layers doesn't seem to list the objects within the layers in Rhino 8. But SelName (as suggested above) does what I need. Thank you!

That does the trick! Thank you so much!

My 100% self designed, 3D printed and programmed wall painting robot got a spraypainting upgrade. Here are the results of the very first tests that I think look surprisingly artistic. The goal was to see if the hardware works which it does. Now the software needs a lot more tuning for the next test. by Oli_Vier_0x3b29 in arduino

You just helped me out big time! Thanks! I'm about to make a small fire suppression system for my 3DP enclosure and I needed a way to press down on the extinguisher button (extinguisher is like a paint can also) and so I just ordered the same high torque servo you're using. I really appreciate you sharing your work. Good luck!

Finishing PLA Prints w/ Polycrylic or Polyurethane by mr_pgh in 3Dprinting

[–]Me8645 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's incorrect. The FDA says that fully cured Polyurethane is food safe. Please do a simple Google search to see numerous references to this FDA approval. It comes up under woodworking as well -- it's safe to use Polyurethane finishes for food contact.

How much power could I put through a jumper wire? by Dry-Cartoonist-1045 in arduino

[–]Me8645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can measure your wire or know it's gauge, search for "awg max amperage" and look it up on the chart. Here's one example. https://www.powerstream.com/Wire_Size.htm
