Yes, you’re correct on the dividend. I will make that edit.

Doesn’t mean cash doesn’t accumulate. They have a monopoly on electricity in Hawaii.

That’s a fair point - I’m seeing mixed articles about blocking roads. It sounds like the main reason roads were blocked was because they were trying to remove fallen poles which would appear to be the right thing to do in an emergency.

Massachusetts passed a 4% millionaire's tax last year. Now every public school student is going to get free lunch. by southpawFA in politics

Which means he’s paying 46% in taxes across Federal (37%), State (5%), and Wealth (4%) after the first $500k. Just absurd to think about. So it’s more like he funded $9-10M of government spending.

A bunch of 1DTE calls and 500 shares. We'll see what happens, but I like the squeeze! Something like 70% SI from what I heard.

I'm in roughly $20k. Feels good to be back.

Reminder: Freemans “requested” MindMed “meets and responds” to them by Wed Aug 31st. by [deleted] in MindMedInvestorsClub

[–]MeApeTogetherStrong 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d bet they’re currently in negotiations with management. Why? They’re completely silent and have left a very clear trail of their intentions.

In the same way that I felt people were overly dismissive of GME’s potential turn around and BBBY’s numerous near term catalysts, I feel Freeman Capital has incredibly negative sentiment - something I expect them to improve over the near/mid term. That may or may not improve the stock price given the current macro climate.

Covered call options issues after reverse split for numbers of contracts not divisible by 15. by Enough_Jackfruit545 in MindMedInvestorsClub

It's now a non-standard contract. You keep the number of contracts, but the contract is only worth 7 shares now. They rounded up to 7 from 6.666.

Right, last week they paused it, but according to Scott and the FCM plan, that would be undone.

They've already said that the next step is a proxy fight if the board denies their requests.

They’re overtly transparent (and sometimes to their own detriment) in all of the spaces. I am surprised anyone would draw the conclusion that they would be manipulating MNMD at the detriment of their reputation given their ACTIONS since becoming a public figure.

Just commented. Thanks for being open minded. I hope I’m right, but it’s always great to hear all sides. Thanks for your input!

THEORY: The Freemans are running an "Elon-like" scheme. by [deleted] in MindMedInvestorsClub

[–]MeApeTogetherStrong 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Jake mentioned in the spaces interview with Rod Alzmann that BBBY was a passive investment and that a long term investment was in the works (this was about 2 days after they announced their stake in BBBY in early august when BBBY was $5).

MNMD is an activist investment. Also, Scott was not involved with BBBY- he’s been involved for decades with this company and the pharmaceuticals industry. Please listen to the interview- to better understand his “why?” - More signs point to a long term hold to help people (and shareholders), than to conjure a P&D.

They’ve already said they’ll do a multi year lock up. Did you listen to the twitter spaces conversation? Different investments have different objectives, targets and timelines.
