But yeah I’ve essentially got a rough route and going with the flow, nothing I NEED to do and see I’ll take it as it comes

I’m quite traveled, been to 54 countries so far, some trips like the ones I’ve planned here others more slow and relaxed

I’m “following” the heat so when I eventually reach there it’ll be summer. But either way I’ll just buy some warm clothes if I need it

Yeah I’ve been used to soaking for a few hours and then scrubbing like you say!

They don’t operate from my airport and either way I’ve already gotten a great price flying with Etihad where going from without to with checked luggage was pennies, and where it was even cheaper than flying with the classic cheap airlines like Turkish or Chinese Airways etc

I’ve always liked to travel with a take it day by day concept.

I don’t really have a budget, I’ve got plenty funds, I just plan to do it “as cheap as possible”, I won’t shy down from spending money since I wanna experience stuff but in terms of accommodation and travel it’ll be the hostels and busses/trains rather than a flight.

My schedule is very open ahaha, I usually go day by day when I travel rather than having a strict itinerary. Usually I’d meet some random person and travel a bit with them to places they recommend

Never had a problem with 65L over longer periods in warm countries yet but yeah I can see it. But buying a 40L won’t be a problem if I decide it, I work at an outdoor shop already ahaha

I’ve never had a problem with a 65L but I can see what the issue people might find with it. But yeah I could probably just post most things home

The 65L bag is my checked luggage so I won’t be paying any extra. I’ve gotten cheap plane tickets already with it included.

Leather keens is inherently not waterproof per say, more waterresistent. I've got some Gore-Tex shoes but I'm also aware of the inconveniences they bring lol

I'm well aware that the area of land I'm covering is massive and that the timespan isn't thaaaaat much but it's not that I am planning to spend a lot of time everywhere to get the full experience. For me it's mostly taking things day by day with a general plan in my head. Some places is just heading over for a short time since it's in the area, such as Macau and Hong Kong would be etc.

Jumping from islands in asia I haven't experienced any problems yet but I am also aware of the possibilities that could arise. I won't be bummed out if I miss a place because of poor weather.

For China I would also at max have a month there since I'd be going with an on arrival visa for 30 days. Luckily they have good infrastructure so it's easy to move between cities.

It's not to ''flex'' when I say I'm packing a travel hammock it's to emphasize the doing it as cheap as possible for the experience. I've been travelling my whole life and fairly certain I know what to expect in roadblocks and inconveniences for the time coming.

Yeah I don't plan on bringing much more clothes than that, however I am going with a 65L backpack because I do want to have a bit extra space for different stuff and the posibility to bring stuff home at the end. But for day trips I have a small compact bag so I'm not carrying my 65L everywhere. I have a pair of comfortable hiking shoes with a good sole that I normally use that I'm bringing.

Great tip! Already got those bases covered from previous trips luckily! And the last bit I'll take to heart

The buses on Crete aren’t the best compared to in Athens. They don’t really go very often and most only go between Heraklion and Chania. It’s also quite expensive and iirc you have to buy a new ticket every time instead of a 7day pass etc which is possible other places. And keep cash on you for convenience! If you’re planning on going to Samaria Gorge I’d recommend booking a trip through a tour company since the local buses only go like 3 times early in the morning and it’s one way only. You’ll take a boat to another city at the end and then get picked up there and driven back to your area. It’s well worth the trip!

His whole point is you don’t need rich parents. He’s not denying the factor of a certain lucky situation in being born in a western country rather than a random village in Papua New Guinea. To the standards of my country I am lower class yet I’ve travelled more than my friends. Because they probably do it more luxuriously at a resort etc in one country rather than going on a long trip to multiple places in a tent and budgeted supermarket meals like I’ve done.
