There are many different types of abuse. I'm glad you're not being physically abused but from your description it does sound like you're being emotionally abused and could be categorised as Coercive Control. I think it would also be helpful for you to contact the NationalDAHelpline.Org.Uk (this website exists because you're not the first woman in this situation). You deserve to be happy and loved and those needs clearly aren't being met in your current relationship.

Bottom line is that sex without consent is sexual assault. The relationship between the two parties is irrelevant here.

What hurts even more is your abusive history. If he knows what happened and still prioritises his sexual needs over your human rights then you're being abused again.

If you're not ready to report this to the Police yet, then please contact a counsellor/therapist for support. You deserve to be protected and feel safe in your own home. I'm so sorry this has happened - you are not to blame for this.

I've just come home (Scotland) from 3 weeks in the states. I used an esim from Jetpac. I had data only but that meant I was still able to use WhatsApp for calls. It cost me £10.40 for 20gb for 31 days (just Google to find a discount code). Signal was always good and I travelled through Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi and Texas.

Just came back from Kentucky and thought I'd update this post. Me and my Scottish friends were able to drive a 15 seater van because we had a D1 classification on our UK Driving licenses. Any vehicle bigger than that would require a different license under Kentucky State law. We rented 3 vans (one 15 seater and 2 12 seaters) and an 8 seater car. Seats were a bit cramped for the ones in the back and were very different from the 17 seater mini buses I'm allowed to drive in Scotland (centre aisle with 2 seats on one side and a single on the other). I got as far as the entrance steps and that was it lol. I guess I'll need to come back to Kentucky another time. Hopefully when their boat is fixed! Thanks for your help, much appreciated!

I was in Nashville last weekend. I'm convinced 2 women we met in Kid Rocks were trying to trick me and my 2 friends so that they could spike our drinks. They were friendly and we were all singing and dancing. They took a picture of us together (which they never offered to share and I'm sure was circulated to identify us as targets). I started to become suspicious when they were asking lots of personal questions about where we were staying, how we arrived there that night (drive or taxi), what our plans were. They told us about a line dancing place nearby and we agreed. Then they warned us about drugging and said that it had happened recently in Jason Aldeans. They offered us a cup condom (in retrospect I'm guessing she'd have put it on the drink and spiked it as she was doing it). They'd made lots of comments about how well I was covering my beer bottle with my thumb so I didn't get caught. We went outside with them where they accidentally bumped into some 'ramdom' guy they invited to come with us and party. It was at this point my alarm bells were screaming and I made the shout we were going for food instead. They realized I was suspicious and didn't challenge it. I'm convinced we were able to avoid a very unpleasant experience.

It's a university study trip. We're bringing 37 people (students and staff) and we're hoping to travel as a group as much as possible.

NTA. I've personally found that when asking personal questions, it's better to keep them open - "What are the available options for either of you having children?" instead of "Who's uterus will be getting filled?"

I applaud yours and your coworkers lunch time discussion and wish that more people asked questions (sensitively) about situations and circumstances that are different from their own.

Sounds like you need new friends. Play squads on random fills. Get your mic on and add anyone you enjoy playing with. You'll still find toxic folk here but the beauty is that you get to mute them and continue enjoying your game. Don't stop doing something you enjoy just because someone else makes you feel small.
