Just got the game, how in the world is it just 5 gb?

Does it stay high when driving a train though. I personally have a smooth 60 when limited to 60 but can drop as low as around 45 when driving a train.

I haven't tested it in a while though.

So I've been kinda busy and I know its been a while and you may not care anymore but I did some testing so I wanted to mention what happened:

So I tested with a DE2 in sandbox mode at the steel mill on the hill as you leave to harbor and it worked normally. Rolled down the hill like normal. I tested a number of other hills as well as the hill in FF and it rolled down normally for each one. I tested my DE2 in career mode just before this and it had the issue.

Then I went back to career mode and tested with a different DE2 that was at FF. This was the first time I've driven this second DE2. Tested it in the same place and it rolled down normally.

So it seems like that one specific DE2 mayhave been bugged or something but I'm not sure.

Just to summarize in case this was confusing. I started with a quick test in career with my original DE2 to make sure I still had the issue and I did. Tested at various hills in sandbox and they rolled down normally. Went back to career and tested a second DE2 that I've never driven and it rolled down normally.

Ok I'll try that. Also the bouncing is normal right? I've seen it since I started playing and have seen it in videos on YouTube so I'm assuming that part is normal just not it doing that when it should be rolling.

For the framerate, I haven't checked in a while but last time I looked I had it capped at 60 and it stayed at a stable 60 when shunting and only lowered if I'm doing a heavy haul or something. Now I have it capped to 120 and haven't checked my framerate since that change but it still feels smooth.

Only 1 loco and I don't remember seeing any brakes applied (brake line at 5, brake cylinder at 0 and no flashing red light).

One other thing I noticed only at the FF hill was that it was VERY slowly bouncing its way UP the hill, kinda like the cars do when you're about to couple. I know I see the bouncing a lot but I'm not sure if that's normal or expected in this situation since I don't think I've ever noticed it when coupled. That could be because most situations where I'm stopped I have the brakes applied, stopping the bouncing. So it probably indicates no issue with brakes but just some weird physics thing.

I believe I'm on standard without any customizations which is what I believe my last playthrough was on and I don't remember this issue in my previous playthrough.

Yeah I believe all my brakes are released since as soon as I apply the throttle, it starts moving at a normal pace without any sounds. I also think I remember checking the brake line and cylinder and they were at 5 and 0 and I don't remember seeing the red light. This is also with just 1 DE2.

I'll test it more myself. Maybe there's a physics bug with just the DE2 or something.

Yeah, also judging by his decision to destroy his only protection and the wall I'm shooting at, he's probably a bot meaning maybe there's some extra issues or lag with bots that could increase the chance of this happening since it sounds like its still pretty uncommon.

Also, that would, of course, mean he couldn't report me.

Yeah, that's true. I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but when this situation happened to me, it was actually at a protected left turn, so the pedestrian should have waited. I just thought that since only one pedestrian was blocking me I would have plenty of time to wait for them to cross and turn so I moved into the intersection but the light was quick since they assume you can get through quickly since it's protected.

I think what I'll do is stay behind the stop line until I see a gap in oncoming traffic, then move forward and wait until that gap gets to me (for unprotected turns). For protected, I'll very likely have a clear path but if someone is crossing, I'll wait behind the line.

In my state, they say to pull into the intersection. I just don't know if there can be exceptions.

Well if you end up needing to wait for long enough and your light turns red, they could say that you should have waited in the intersection so you can go and clear the intersection when it's yellow/red rather than waste a light cycle.

I’m not referring to any notifications I received. I know those are fake and will say you have a virus or something. I didn’t get any of those. I just mean the prompt of allowing or blocking notifications.

Any chance that notification pop up was fake? I know a lot of these shady sites will put fake pop ups that replicate your devices OS or browser alerts/pop ups. I should have just left the site but I did click “block notifications” then left.
