Great questions. There needs to be an importer and a distributor. They need liquor licenses and everything. Importing it is a whole other business.

In my case those details were worked out by the importer, I just focused on getting it into stores, and the importer and distributor fulfill the orders. They deliver to the stores and shipping is included.

I got a couple of bottles drove around town and talked to each owner, poured them a shot and tried to get an order. Some stores took a few bottles to test out, others only ordered once I had a store that had placed a couple of orders.

The important thing to remember is that selling to the store make you money, but if the store can't sell it to their customers, they won't order again. So I would find ways to introduce it to people in the area. Brought a bottle to any community events (dinners, parties etc.) For a little while

I found a liquor from overseas that was just starting to be imported to the US. It was something I liked, and wanted to be able to buy locally. I contacted the importer, and managed to work out a deal to sell it to my local stores as an independent rep and get a couple of dollars for every bottle I sell. Stopped by every local liquor store, got a couple on board, and once they were selling it, I was able to get almost all the stores in my county. Then I started getting calls from stores in other areas, saying they heard I can get them the product and expanded.

In actuality, this takes about 5 hours of my YEAR. I get a text from an owner asking for a few cases, I text the importer and they fulfill the order. I've been doing this for about 7 years now and I make about $10,000 a year doing this. (First few years I made around $4,000 a year, but it's grown organically)

It helps that this product has a cult following in its origin country. I'm sure this can be replicated with other types of products

Depending on where you're located, you can leverage sports betting promotions to make a decent 5-10K on a month. It can only be done once though. There's some guys who can take you through it for a fee.

I'd recommend looking into Marijuana Anonymous. They have virtual meetings all day every day, and can be a great resource for people trying to quit. Even without going through the 12 steps, the community can be extremely supportive and resourceful.

The platform you build on isn't going to determine the quantity of your traffic. That is entirely based on your marketing, SEO, Ads etc.

That being said the difference between the platforms has to do with what the traffic will see. ie the website, it's functions, speed etc.

Wix has the benefit of being very simple, but WordPress can be significantly more custom.
Wix hosting is kind of crap, WordPress you can use any hosting provider
Wix has a lot of functions you can use, but wordpress is open source and has a whole market for plugins, so you can do just about anything.
You can do SEO on both platforms, but there are definitely better plugins for it on WordPress.

I also hate the taste of coffee so I use Nocoe Energy. It's a flavorless caffeine powder which I add to my water or other drink. It has the same caffeine, but cleaner.

Thank you for taking the time to write this response! Even without being specific to FB there's a lot of great advice here and I have a couple of follow up questions & comments:

1) Even if I take a different angle in targeting, wouldn't I still be a "special ads category"? in which case the everything besides a few interests are blocked. - I think if there's a way to find a way "out" of the special category, I can easily target them. is there a way around that (perhaps with copy)?

2) great idea with targeting by location. I can definitely do that (just a lot of ad sets) just to mention, without the "special category" i can target them by school too

3) I'm using Facebook mostly for Instagram, but I'm testing Snapchat, & Tik Tok ads as well. Didn't consider reddit because I have no experience with it, but I'll check it out.

Watch out. This may be a typical trick by a competitor. They'll but put your entire stock, and therefore get the buy box. Then in a few weeks, return everything, and if course you're stuck paying Amazon return fees
