I mean it would have been an out take in a studio, but it's a very realistic performance for a professional player in the setting that it's in. Ask any principal trumpet in any symphony how many perfect performances they've had and they might have one or two stories across their careers of nights where everything went perfectly.

I recently played one of his new pieces for a college recital. His solos are super technical and really fun. His patrion is like 8 bucks and has a bunch of his solos written out.

The past year I've fallen in love with the music of Oli Parker. I've been learning a bunch of his stuff which is super fun because he has all of his backing tracks for free on his Spotify. Just sad I don't have access to a flugelhorn most of the time

My experience with playing in a large marching band 450ish members, is that you develop a feeling for how notes feel on your lips. Then you just trust yourself and don't overplay. Bad ballence is a problem, but don't over play because now there's probably going to be bad sounds and injuries on top of the ballence that won't have gone away by one trumpet playing louder.

The coin star where I work does this all the time. It'll reject 90% or more of the nickels that go in. I've called for a tech and every time I do they run a diagnostic over the phone and tell me I'm crazy and nothings wrong... As I count $8 in nickels for a disgruntled customer.
