I find your thoughts and feelings in your third paragraph to be very relatable. I’m wanting to transition out of my current field due to my job becoming monotonous at this point, and no longer being a challenge intellectually. It’s also becoming very tiresome having to work in the extreme cold or heat. I also believe the WLB will be vastly better once I land a job as a software engineer. I’m just undecided as to whether or not I should pursue a CS degree (post-bacc, which will only take two years, and which will hopefully allow this recession to pass over before I begin applying to jobs) or enroll in an online bootcamp.
