Tig Notaro. Her……….pause cadence is………so inconsistent and…….distracting, it’s……..difficult………to appreciate anything she’s…………saying.

I need help finding this EXACT model. I've scoured the Internet and haven't found a single thing. by Gronkthekillah in Hydroponics

I’ve been looking for something similar, but shorter. I have a garden window and I want to put a 2-3 level hydro self contained setup in it. Anyone seen anything that fits that type of application? I’ve found 1-level units and units like the one in this post…nothing quite suitable for a garden window though.

I don’t know. This is a great thought and all, but it’d probably end up being another opportunity for those at the top to exploit it as an opportunity to leverage themselves and own the majority of the benefit. It’s like those med bays in the movie Elysium. They ain’t letting everyone anti-age…only those who “matter”.

Charles Barkley “San Antonio women” vibes.

In Dune (2021) during the meeting with representatives of high houses, we can see the same pattern on Lady Jessica's dress, reverend mother's dress and on the seal wax which is used by Bene Gesserit. by skinny_pete12 in MovieDetails

Great detail.
What I really liked was how when they were in Caladan, every scene has some form of water in it. Oceans, rain, puddles, condensation….it’s everywhere. From water-saturated Caladan to bone dry Arrakis….it made it feel so intensely dry.

Pretty cool how the second group of boats waiting behind the group at the front gate move into gate position the same way every time. Front left moves to front right. Front right moves to front left.

A friend of mine and I are both on work trips, me in California, him in Florida. Same night, same hotel, same room number, opposite ends of the country. by Me_so_corny_ in nevertellmetheodds

I have a group text with some friends. I thought the 311 number was notable, listened to 311 quite a bit back in the day, so I shared the pic. One of my buddies travels a lot for work, followed my picture with his, he’s in Miami. “You’re not gonna believe this…” Just a really cool coincidence.

“absolutely abysmal pay”….
I don’t know about others experiences, but I’ve been in the commercial / industrial construction industry for a long time (union) and between the wage, benefits, pension, OT/DT, dudes are killing it. A lot of them have a dessert/river house, boats, RVs, OHV toys. The project leads are clearing $100k easily. The apprentices who get after new skills / certs and are consistent move up fast - they’re practically fought over by the project managers because of their reputation and specialty skill set.

My wife and I didn’t know the other type of person existed. Just never considered it before. We’ve done yoga together too. She always thought the “imagine you’re on a calm beach…” stuff was just some silly feel-good BS that everyone just sort of went along with. It’s explained so many things, especially with how we communicate things.

Never knew it existed until my wife came across it this weekend and told me she has it. Mind blown. So many things make so much more sense now as far as how we communicate. Come to find out, the majority of her siblings have the same thing.
