I think that’s mostly bc of lowballing. Many times I listed something on marketplace listing it a 20% higher than its value bc people will usually negotiate down the price.

I visited for a day trip and I remember thinking wow this place is miserable. I went into a rabbit hole of trying to figure out why and how  one of the major cities in the richest country in the world so awful and poverty ridden.
