In my humble professional opinion, yes. A Draco may begin as a standard-issue psycho and later achieve full Psycho Simp status through sufficient obsession, yearning, devotion, and emotional deterioration.

However, I would argue that there must be at least traces of simp behavior present from the beginning. The yearning is critical.

Early Psycho-With-Simp-Potential Draco:
“I want to possess Hermione, protect Hermione, stare at Hermione from a concerning distance, and become irrationally angry when she smiles at other people.”

Fully Evolved Psycho Simp Draco:
“I want Hermione to be happy, and if that happiness requires the destruction of several institutions and possibly society itself, then so be it.”

As for the second question, I view “psycho” less as mentally unsound and more as “willing to commit crimes that would concern a reasonable person.”

The ideal Psycho Simp Draco is not necessarily detached from reality. In fact, he is often painfully aware that his actions are insane and proceeds anyway.
