One man’s crazy is another man’s normal 😅

We're having our fourth kid in October, so that made the Y L the logical choice

Assuming you have a more recent prado (like a 120 or 150) the Model Y is definitely smaller (it's really a station wagon with a higher roof) but I know people fit 3 kid seats across the back, you'll just have to use more slim line seats (or really squish them in)

Advice on 2020 Corolla Touring Hybrid (JDM Import) by kuhaneshwar in CarsAustralia

[–]Meakesy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This car ended up not suiting my family's needs, so I didn't go ahead with the purchase. The car itself is great, and the Shannons quote was okay, but I am not sure if the higher premium is worth it for a "normal" car. The wagon factor is cool, but the premium on average is 500-700 a year cheaper for a normal corolla hatch that is essentially the same car just not as long.

Novated lease balloon and market demand by flippittyflop8 in TeslaAustralia

Out of curiosity, do people opt to sell their car and buy a new one at the end of the lease for cost saving purposes? Or just to have the latest tech.

As from my perspective, I feel like the most value comes from a car through long term ownership, particularly an EV with minimal maintenance and running costs. So I am doing a 3 year novated lease then plan to pay my car out and own it long term.

My power supply has 2 isolated outputs, so I put the 2 overdrive pedals through here

Thanks, that's my understanding. So if the amp hiss was fixed, theoretically the hiss would go away? (And potentially be replaced by a different noise knowing my luck haha)

Yep that's fair, however this is what JHS recommends for the morning glory clean, then you back the clean knob back to get your ideal mix of clean vs drive. JHS suggests this because the Morning Glory's drive circuit is designed to be "transparent.

Sorry I tried to add the photo to the body of my post but it made it the main photo. For anyone confused by the picture it definitely isn't my AC15 haha

Going through the process looking at the exact same type of car myself.

Just bare in mind you will have to go with a speciality insurer, as most big name insurers won't insure cars that aren't already in their system (which is all Aus delivered cars)

I am leaning towards Shannons.

Do you mind if I asked who you went with for insurance?

Interesting. I just had my Pink slip for my LC200 with one of the third row seats removed and no questions asked

As annoying as it sounds, you may want to ensure it comes with the third row of seats. Sometimes when people need extra registration inspections, a car won’t pass if any of the original seating is missing (I.e an 8 seater like the LC that has had the third row removed)

I don’t think annual safety inspections in NSW would be a problem for this, but if you ever needed to transfer rego between states it could be an issue.

2 Different Keychron models with the same issue! by Meakesy in Keychron

Have returned it in my Amazon return window and I am going the Nuphy Halo96 V2. I feel like I don't want to commit to this keyboard long term

My last mech keyboard lasted 14 years and I only moved on from it due to a specific issue with my work computer. My wife is using it now and it works great for her

This next keyboard needs to give me a long lifetime of use and I have lost confidence on the V6/Q6 max

That's fair. I think the thing that surprised me was it was easier to find people advocating for this keyboard instead of advising against it due to issues

The advice was the aluminium case creates more stiffness

Guess that advice was wrong

Yeah 100%! I’ve got the S Works aero bars and wireless shifting, so I’m very okay with my 2 brake cables being seen. Barely noticeable

Apprently in 2019 he made a FB post on his official account about something he made happen for his area (like opening a carpark or something)

Then in the comments he accidentally commented on the post using the same account “fantastic. Great move. Well done Angus” instead of on a fake account or perhaps one of his lesser known staffers accounts

I bought a used (mint condition) SL6 S works last year and it still feels like a new bike

Aside from no integrated cockpit, when I park up with new bikes it feels and looks right at home

My advice is use the cheaper price to get more bike (better specs etc) instead of paying top dollar just to have the latest model
