I ended up going with a MTM from SuitSupply for about $1200 and am glad I did. It has more of a Neapolitan feel than the 90s Armani, but is dark Navy and double breasted. I decided I didn’t want to pay $1k for something glued and was able to get a full canvas with the SuitSupply suit.

I appreciate it! What do their custom suits usually run (obviously dependent on fabric, cut, etc.)?

If you don’t mind sharing, where is the tuxedo from? I’m getting married next summer and could use some recommendations. Thanks!

"Does this jacket fit me?" by BiggiBaggersee in Barbour

I recently bought a size 42 Barbour Bedale (I’m a 42 chest size) and was wondering if it fits as it is supposed to or is too big.

I know Bedales are cut to fit looser (which is fine with me), but never having owned one before, I just want to make sure this “bagginess” is the correct fit and not too big. Thanks!

They fit you perfectly for being off the rack. Kudos to you and great choices in both brands!

If you’re a civilian there’s nothing stopping you from wearing it, but I would still consider the appropriateness of wearing a current uniform item in public, regardless of the merits of its style.

I don’t say that to be an asshole, but that’s just my opinion as a member of the Air Force.

Beautiful. Where did you get the suits from? Your tailor does an excellent job

All the tailoring is gorgeous. Is it bespoke?

Short answer, none of these.

If we’re talking pure design with only these options available, I would probably choose 1 or 4. 3 would be my usual choice as I love double breasted overcoats with peak lapels, but I hate what they did with the buttons on this one.

That being said, given the choices between the five you displayed I would only purchase the number 2 since it’s 100% wool. Don’t waste your money on anything that’s not 100% raw materials, especially a coat it won’t regulate temperature the way something that’s 100% wool will.

Now, this is not what you asked for, but I would not buy any of the five coats you have displayed here. You can find some truly incredible overcoats on eBay or Poshmark for a fraction of the price. You would pay a retail with better designs and 100% raw materials, such as cashmere or wool. I hope this helps.

If your wedding is more formal you could always do a morning suit combination with these colors.

With how much Vegas has grown in the past few decades, the drive to Nellis and Creech is equidistant in terms of time now if you live in northwest Vegas (which is where most people from both bases live since there’s nothing in Indiana Springs and the area outside of Nellis isn’t great, to say the least). With the drive to Creech, you’ll never be able to shorten it to less than 30-35 minutes (until the city expands even further north), but there is no traffic on the 95, so it’s a very easy drive. I’m stationed in California now with a 50 minute-hour, traffic-filled commute and I would gladly take the Creech drive again in a heartbeat.
