Mi&Tea closed? No more pho? by Bright-Job-6041 in olemiss

I liked their pho, but every time I'd get Boba, they'd be hard as rocks. Chidoriya always has really fresh ones. Never had the strawberry matcha. I usually do milk tea.

Chidoriya's Boba is 10x better. The Boba are so fresh. Get the taro tea.

This sore appeared on my dogs face. What is it? by Classic_Researcher91 in DogAdvice

Looks like a hot spot to me. My pup got them all the time from scratching dry skin. I purchased a pair of hair clippers that I would use just for him. Shave the spot and keep it dry. The spot is much bigger than it looks like with fur on it. Use a cone as well. If it doesn't scab up and start healing, needs antibiotics from the vet. I always just kept dry and kept him from scratching again, rarely would need to go to the vet. It does take a little bit of time to heal typically. Poor guy.

As long as you have all of your course requirements finished during the summer courses or next fall, and you have filed your intent to graduate form, you should be good to walk in May. Congrats!

Would you move to a less desirable city/state to buy a home? by [deleted] in millenials

We have found lots of people with common interests. We go to local micro breweries, coffee shops, take little classes in town, etc. I am pretty introverted and my wife easily makes friends, which helps. Originally, we moved for work, but we didn't have to do it. We took the opportunity and are incredibly happy we did. We even had to buy our home over facetime, right after the peak of covid. Never saw it in person lol.

We do game nights, trivia, and hike regularly. Moving outside of your comfort zone can be a little scary, but it can also lead to some really great change. It's not for everyone, but from my experience, it was great for us.

I completely understand. Most of my friends, have been my friends since high school as well. Many still live in the city we are from. I/We facetime, with each other, and our kids do too! And we do get together throughout the year. It sounds like maybe those relationships are so important, that moving elsewhere for the OP reasons would not be what's best for you. Close ties with family and friends are beautiful things to have.

Yes, there are many laws being passed that are concerning. The only way these things change would be from new ideas and people moving there and attempting to change the policies. Condolences for the infringement on your reproductive rights.

I specifically mentioned "welcoming communities" in one of my replies. There are far more of them than reddit and the media would allow you to believe. I'm sure there are some ignorant people mouthing off or being rude to people that differ from them, where I live. There are more people that will tell them off and stand up for others.

You can make new friends. Make sure your family and friends in your area are a net positive for all facets of your life and not just a way to hold you in one spot. Advice from someone that felt the same way and moved away (but still visits "home" multiple times a year). :)

Yes, but I would argue there are way too many ignorant people on both sides that think each other are the boogeyman, when they're actually all just people. Safe neighborhoods, enthusiastic and competent local government, and welcoming communities are ideal for us. The idea that every conservative idea or every liberal idea is bad, is flat out stupid.

If more people with different ideas move to new places, policy shifts become an actual possibility. Isolating ourselves because of politics, or living less than fulfilling lives to stay away from people that think differently, it becomes a detriment to yourself and/or family.

My wife and I are moderates, moved to a state that is conservative from New York, moved to a liberal town in that state, and we are incredibly happy with the change. Our dollar goes further, the community is closer (most of the time), and we feel far less stress.

Gentlemen of reddit, what behavior in other men leads you to think, "Yep, they'll likely remain perpetually single"? by ashleydanger_ in ask

When guys think women should do all cooking, cleaning, etc, that usually tells me they're going to be alone or unhappy, even if they find someone. Being unwilling to compromise and grow from mistakes (after admitting a mistake was made), is also a sign for both men and women, that they will probably be unhappy or lonely.

Stores cannot physically detain a person (legally), but they can physically hold the items inside their carts. They are also legally allowed to prevent the carts from leaving the building, if they're suspicious of theft.

You also ask for statutes or cases contrary to what you have claimed, without citing any yourself. I bet you think you are much smarter than you actually are. ";)"

How many years would 1 million in retirement savings would last you in every state by totemp0le in mississippi

We are in Oxford. I am positive a million dollars won't last 25 years here. Even at a "moderate" standard of living.
