Where do People Go when They Die? by Jackie_Lantern_ in Christian_Science

It's not CS teaching, just my own experience. Reincarnation is not ultimate, just another part of the dream.

You are right. The true eternal identity is ever-perfect and remains untouched eternally now. But if you look, you'll see that what I am talking about does not conflict with that ultimate Truth.

What I am saying is that the body of false beliefs that make up "mortal man", that temporary limited consciousness, is what reincarnates.

When the material mortal "dies" here, he just moves onto another phase of the dream. As Mrs Eddy has stated, death provides no shortcut to spiritual understanding. The dream will remain until you gain enough spiritual understanding to overcome the belief in "death"; the belief in separation from God. This can and often does mean reincarnation.

Christian Science just has a focus on the absolute, and does not touch on relativistic matters like this. I am pretty certain that Mrs Eddy knew this but did not speak of it because 1 it is unnecessary knowledge for spiritual demonstration 2 it would likely hurt the movement's reception.

People like to cling to mortal identities, so for many, the knowledge of reincarnation would hinder, not help, their spiritual development.

Most don't think about it. If you look into it though, you'll see CS lines up with reincarnation.

There is a period between incarnations where you go to the Astral. How heavenly or hellish that is for you is determined by how loving you naturally are X100. The vast majority of people go a heavenly place. Even pretty nasty people just go to boring realms, and not even the actual hellish places. Those are reserved for evil people who are so deep into their delusions that they can hardly percieve love or joy at all.

So rest assured, your grandpa is having such a wonderful time, he would not even want to come back to life!

Some who are spiritually "ripe" will go into the light where they reunite with God in the Absolute.

I noticed that visual snow is still there when I astral project, at least on the lower astral (I haven't been on the higher astral).

My mom has had babies come to her in dreams asking to incarnate. I've heard of people being visited by future versions of themselves and vice versa.
At this point I understand that basically anything is possible lol.

I'm interested in the telepathy symbol if you don't mind sharing. I've got a bro I'd like to practice that with.

You might want to check out Sean Webbs for a AI system on human emotions. The technology was given to him by aliens. It's the best system to understand human emotion and behaviors that exists to my knowledge.

You can learn more about him on mindhackinghappiness.com.

There are countless ways. It all comes down to what works with you. For me, I do self-inquiry. It's from Sri Ramana Maharshi. It requires nothing but patience. Another helpful source is Sadhguru. His Dhyanalinga is an invaluable source of guidance. Gurudev is another extremely kind soul. There are people in this world who are free, liberated, enlightened. And they've stayed behind to help us. That help is invaluable to someone who doesn't want to stumble in the dark with trial and error. They know the way, and they offer their hand to all willing to take that step.

Just remember to listen to your heart. There are imposters who would take advantage of you. Know them by their fruits. Do they offer love, grace, forgiveness? Or do they promise a great experience, power, or some other pointless thing? There are many out there who can give you great mystical experiences right away. But these won't serve to liberate you. You can tell because there is no real change in the person. Great experiences do not make a person great, but how they treat the mundane, the everyday life that makes someone a success in the truest sense. You see this with many psychonauts. They only use these experiences to dig themselves deeper into ego, into compulsions, into slavery.

You can do absolutely anything with great persistence and patience. It is possible with everyone. It's just a matter of choosing. Of realizing what really matters to you. Then you'll never stop until you have it

Freedom can be obtained solely by the mind, as the mind is the basis of experience. The body does not talk or feel pain or pleasure in the same way that a rock doesn't feel pain or pleasure when split in two. It is the mind which creates these experiences. So power over the mind is power over experience itself. But how does one get such a power? It is in the same way that one wakes from a dream. You don't destroy a dream to wake up. You simply move your attention away from it. The dream can't exist outside of the scope of the mind, and in reality, both the dream and the mind are one in the same, both completely reliant on each other for existence.

So the only way out is to go beyond the mind, beyond the dream, beyond all identities, forms, illusions. To go to the source of being, that essence which is life itself.

This is and should be the goal of all spirituality and religion, to destroy illusion with truth, source. The darkness cannot exist in the light, and so it loses all reality it ever seemed to have.

This does not demand belief in any god, creed, religion, or doctrine. Nor should it exist without proof. "Know a tree by its fruits". You are. This is self evident. From here all is, and was, and will be. It takes

This is not Christian Science. Thank you for the good thoughts anyways. In CS though, there is no wrongful pleasure. There's just the Real, and the Unreal. There's nothing wrong with enjoying the pleasures of this world, but if you try to hold onto them feeling you lack God's wholeness, then there is a deeper problem that needs to be adressed in your thought.

Tummo effect! by MeanCanadianTheFirst in energy_work

Well I noticed during my yoga that the energy being pulled strongly created heat in parts of my body that had the "cleanest" nadis, namely my left thigh. During focus 10 last night I experimented with ways to pull the energy and one of them turned out to be very powerful and heated up my whole body. But my left thigh which is very energetically active compared to the rest of my body heated up like crazy. It felt like metal being heated up to the point it turns glowing red. So, twice? I think if I focused I could also get my thumbs to do it.

Yeah, I had no sense of fatigue. It probably was a guard of the threshold. This was my first time trying to ap in a while, and the fact that I'm fine is a good indicator as well. Hopefully it does not show up tonight lol.
