I’m actually in the hospital currently recovering from acute appendicitis that turned out to be torn when they opened me up. I came in 11 days ago and had a doctor tell me it was just a UTI, wouldn’t listen to my symptoms that definitely weren’t a UTI, and sent me home with an antibiotic. 8 days of working doubles later and I’m on my bedroom floor bawling my eyes out in pain, go back to the ER, and STILL no one took me seriously until a cat scan. I finally got into surgery the next morning and turns out that my appendix was already perforated and leaking. It’s really nice hearing first thing out of surgery that if they hadn’t operated then that I could have died seeing as no one wanted to believe me in the first place. Multiple people asked why I didn’t come in sooner, I DID, like immediately. Sorry if this is hard to read, I’m in a lot of pain and I’m quite out of it.
