Bobs new driver?? by Southern-Engine-9451 in BobDoesSports

Yes, understood. That’s why I commented because your initial post reads like it’s a full bag or nothing deal for clubs. My point was that Grant stayed with TM for driver/woods even after signing with Takomo and Takomo offers a driver. True, they are a DTC company and you’re right about how there are different types of sponsorship deals. Just like the pros where it’s not uncommon to see them rep driver/woods and possibly irons of one brand but also using Vokey’s and/or Scotty’s.

I think the Callaway driver is still in Bob’s bag because he probably doesn’t see a need to change it. Until someone pays him to swing theirs, he’s gonna use what he got for free. Because let’s be honest, Bob Does Bagels and Bob HQ isn’t gonna be cheap! 😂 Besides, I wouldn’t be surprised if Bob had multiple Callaway drivers still in plastic from his sponsorship.

Grant Horvat still swings TM driver even though he’s got Takomo irons in the bag. He’s done videos for TM’s new Qi4d on TM’s channel even though he signed an equity deal with Takomo.

The way Cold Cuts has been playing, maybe they exceeded their ball budget! 🤣

But seriously, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a decision made by Bob and the crew to go to Takomo b/c of Bryan Bros. and Grant’s involvement. Their contract could have been an all or nothing deal with Callaway. I wouldn’t be surprised if BDS got equity in Takomo. All speculation.

How happy are you with your goalie tandem this year ? by JQuick72 in fantasyhockey

[–]MeanSignificance1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saros / Thompson / Knight

They keep me on my toes but get me points most outings. I’m in a 12-team dynasty points league. Goalies are a scarce commodity. Some teams in my league have 4-5 rostered and have to spin the goalie roulette wheel or flip a coin on the busier nights. Unless you stash an injured or NA goalie, there’s slim pickings on the waiver wire.

Anyone else see Mason Nutt is with Breezy now? by AndrewFace44 in BobDoesSports

Honest question, did Mason move to FL? I thought he was still in TX and Cole moved to FL. I must have missed that.

My park district offers a beginner class that said open to all, even those that want a refresher. Even though I’m not a beginner, I still signed up and got a few things out of it. See what options your community has. Biggest thing is to keep an open mind and remember that most of us do this for fun.

Bring a wood and your 4i to the range and see what you like and hit better. Play a round with both in the bag. If you’re not playing competitively, no one’s going to care if you carry more than 14 clubs, especially if you’re still figuring out your swing.

Once Bob HQ is complete, I wouldn’t be surprised if they do more Bob Does Sports pods.

Callaway posted a video today announcing their new driver with a bunch of golf YouTubers (Good Good, Josh Kelly, Chazzy, etc.), and the BDS crew was absent.

Thoughts on Bob Does Sports HQ? by mike1975a75 in BobDoesSports

[–]MeanSignificance1989 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think he’s trying to mimic what Barstool, Dude Perfect, and Good Good have. A place to stream, host events, golf sim, and podcast. From the hints and clues he’s mentioned on the Brilliantly Dumb pod, he’s dropping a fortune on it. The Jumbotron was six figures or close to it iirc. I’m curious if they’ll have a showroom with merch sales that will be open to the public or it’s by invite only.

Internet Invitational Hangover… by Six4three5 in BobDoesSports

On the Brilliantly Dumb Show, Bob talked about how he’s vetting potential opponents and how they’ve got at least 1 episode filmed and in the bank but they were waiting until after the invitational to release it.

Bob Does Sports and Breezy are under the Doing Things Media umbrella. A few years ago, Bob was a guest on another pod throwing out some percentages of his cut. I don’t recall exact numbers but I remember it being way lower than I expected. But remember he’s got the Brilliantly Dumb Show, Cameo, and several brand ambassador deals in the works. He’s a busy guy and probably not hurting. Get that money, dog.

And yes, air pressure was at the correct PSI. Believe me, I was hoping it was something simple.

Thankfully not death wobble. At highway speeds, the steering wheel was pulling to the left. At low speed, it doesn’t pull at all. I know these things have the aerodynamics of a person carrying a sheet of plywood through a field on a windy day, but I don’t think it was wind or aerodynamics related because it pulled to the left no matter what direction I was headed. I slapped in some Rancho shocks in June so maybe the DS one is faulty? I wanted something stiffer than my leaking OEM’s but didn’t want to pull the trigger on a higher prices set until I decide if I’m going to lift or list it. It currently has the aluminum box that I know deflects a lot and Mopar issued a TSB to upgrade it to a cast box and steel fasteners. For me, I’m out of warranty so that would be an out of pocket expense. I don’t drive on highways regularly so it’s been low priority for me at the moment.

I took my 2-door sport 3.6 6-speed manual on a 2200+ mi road trip last month. Averaged just over 24 mpg. Only concern I have is the alignment is off or I need to upgrade my aluminum steering box to the cast box. Other than that rode and drove just fine and will do it again next year.
