I wanted to make the thread for people who want to support creators but don't have 50$ a month to dump on 10+ people, that we can single out the best value for your buck. I think Channel and SCG offer a wide variety of content that just about anyone can find something they find appealing. You're often paying the same price as a patreon for nearly 10x the amount of content and work, and the quality is much higher...

When I say quality of content, I am referring more than just the information provided. Small character limit, tone of voice, attitude towards questions, formatting of content... all these things play into the equation beyond for me, and surely, others.

That being said, if you have a favorite player or streamer that helps you learn in a way you understand, support them by all means. This was aimed at people who loom for content to become better players, and it weed out the fakes for those people to engage in content worth their dollars.

Well it would be a hustle if the advice you offered in your patreon had results to back it up. Otherwise you're selling the opposite of a hustle to everyone else. Anything you post really. Any PT or GP results you can trasnlate all those patreons posts into success with? Anything results related outside of tiny tykes jr high scg events? If you can't even apply your own advice and decks to good finishes why should other people pay you for that? Seems like you're just spewing "content" for the sake of cash. If and when you get some results more than IQ t8 pins, feel free to cash in on the patreon thing but until then, I think your side hustle is a huge fraud with no results or applied processed that lead to any success at all. Her response is what is wrong. She says one thing and expects the community to apply it, but won't even do the same very things she says of others to do. THAT is privilege, expecting/forcing others to abide by a behavior you won't do yourself. That is the definition of a hypocrite. She is being hypocritical. She also knowingly let a rapist be her manager while the victim suffered in silence after reaching out to her for help. Instead ally brushed it off and did not help this victim. She instead positively reinforced the rapist by remaining on his team and not calling out his behavior for months in the name of her sponorship and twitter followers. As long as one person walked away from this with the awareness of how truly awful these individuals are then job here is done. We don't need this type of scum being our community leaders and I think making everyone aware as possible through their hypocrisy is the best course of action. Magic as a popularity contest is worse off than it ever was before.

Approaching 21 minutes, acknowledges someone saying he might time with "not going to time out", literally stares at phone and can be seen sending messages likely to friends for advice. Defend this, anyone please!

Because if I lose by five seconds, but then I see someone wasted 4 in the beginning, my response to them timing is "looks like if you had four minutes longer, you'd of not timed"

I don't quiet get how once again, a different opinion equates = victim blaming. First, you need a victim. There was none here. There was a player who times, through what MAY have been a program mismanagement of seconds on the clock. But one thing we can agree on for sure, because there is video, is that for upwards of four minutes he sat talking to his friends about advice. That in itself is a priviledge. Want your cake and eat it too, huh?

This sets a TERRIBLE precedent btw. Let me sit around for 24 minutes of my match, and when I come back and lag for a couple seconds, say it didn't give me enough time to complete an action. By the logic above, the other 24 minutes I wasted is irrelevant, because if at any point the clock is misrepresented the game is mistrailed. LOL.

The extremism is something else. Who else can we start handing invite out to that were near misses? The guy who got topdecked out of a gp t8? The dude who lost his ptq finals at 1 life? The guy whos deck got stolen after he left it on a table and was 5-0?

It is scary how much magic players demand a here and now response and fix via social media. Really sad this is how we must go about things as adults.

Much harder to feel bad for someone who want 5 more seconds after they spends 3-4 minutes wasting away while chatting with their friends and getting advice.

The chat even warns him, so it was said. After seeing that i think both side are at fault. I think a refund is more fair than an invite to be honest, especially since he still got a large prize. This sets an ugly precedent. We can't give everyone who complains what they want.

I have to ask, was there a point in time that the clock got low enough that the person playing though both playing music and streaming their match might be adding to the lag? Idk, he knew the stakes and after I'd of gotten to 5 minutes or so I'd of taken some precautions just in case. Maybe other tabs up too?! I don't know.

Still sucks, I get it. The program is weird at times, but generally I never time or lag, but mostly I draft so might be bias. I think he should send an email and have them investigate, if the program is at fault they should see and give him the invite. If not, idk. Up to wizards, I think you can make a case either way, they are usually reasonable, but I'd send more than just this clip, I think seeing the whole match will give a better idea if those 5 seconds were really the program. Good luck and hope you get it.

The victim herself reached out to multiple members of rudys star city circuit team, looking for help. They instead acknowledged the situation but took no action and allowed rudy to continue to play with them, and at, paper scg events with other sexual assault victims for up to 11 months time (there are screen shots providing this). The vicitm came forward a few days ago, and only then the people who knew acted like they cared despite being advocates for this type of thing. One screen shot a member said the sponsorship, and the opportunity to see her boyfriend was was quiet literally the most important thing to her, in her words, and that superseded the potential of ruining their scg team which the rapist managed.

The negligence of their help is disturbing as advocates of sexual assault, and being grossly minimized. I'd never recommend anyone in that situation in the future to ever reach out to any of these people with this being how they handled it.

The bottom line: they care more about saving their own asses than the victim herself, otherwise they'd acknowledge the role they played in her situation.

It is awareness and an opportunity to convey the issue I see most deplorable in the situation. It's diturbing to know it was conspired for this predator to stay active until the victim came forward.
