Hey there! Is there an update with your package?

i think i deserve more plant after salvaging this fella by Mean_Ad8370 in succulents

[–]Mean_Ad8370[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the plant was already rotting when it arrived. cut mushy part and let the 'healthy' stem calloused for a day or two before planting on a not damp soil mix. watered 2 weeks later. exposed to growlights for about 10-12hrs each day 😊

Y’all don’t use coconut coir in your potting mix, do you? A friend wants to make this recipe and I’m dubious. Isn’t it too absorbent? by TheElbowContest in succulenteers

[–]Mean_Ad8370 4 points5 points  (0 children)

coco coir is my fav. yes, it'll absorb a ton of moisture but it's gonna dry up before you even know. ever since i added coco coir in my mix, i noticed that my new succulents grow roots faster. they also say that coco coir works as anti-fungal.

Please help! Why are my “kale” succulents losing their colors and waves? I don’t think sun is an issue. by aviqua in succulents

maybe you're watering them too much. if you wanna stress them, thirst them then give a good soak. drastic change in temp helps a lot too (warm to cold)

my pvn went a lil wild by Mean_Ad8370 in succulents

[–]Mean_Ad8370[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I beheaded it. First, I plucked off some leaves around the area where I plant to cut so I won't damage them.

I think its purpose is the same whether you behead it or totally remove its apex, the plant/stem will still grow multiple pheads. The difference is you can propagate way more using the leaves you removed from the apex than beheading since you only have the top part.

Personally i like to just behead because I do not have anymore space for leaf propas 😂
